UEP v0.5.83 (local research testnet): public data sources via adapters outside the node (USGS and GEOFON feed a seismic trigger), network-bound signatures, crash recovery tested at every write point. Some parts still partial. github.com/UEPceo/UEP-Universal-Economic-Protocol/releases/tag/v0.5.83

Universal Economic Protocol (UEP): open research protocol for settling services between parties without a shared currency or a reliable link. Testnet reference, no token. Code: github.com/UEPceo/UEP-Universal-Economic-Protocol · uep.dev@proton.me

Event-Collect BFT folds oracle evidence into the block (closed snapshots + bound BFT). UEP v0.5.82 research testnet keeps evidence outside the state machine — signed statements, height windows, off-node adapters. #distributedsystems research.momentum.inc/papers/moxie...
Paper: Raftel — BFT under partial TEE trust (Wen et al.). Bound f < max(n/3, m/2). TEEs raise fault tolerance only once m > 2n/3. Dual quorums + TEE-leader fast path. arxiv.org/abs/2609.09742 #distributedsystems
UEP v0.5.82 (experimental testnet): fixes from an independent evaluation of v0.5.81, plus external sources as optional, verifiable evidence outside the state machine. Works the same if every source fails. github.com/UEPceo/UEP-Universal-Economic-Protocol/releases/tag/v0.5.82
Seamless reconfiguration for async DAG-BFT (Hu et al.): membership and quorum thresholds change while the DAG grows — no pause, no epoch boundary wait. UEP v0.5.81 still has no epoch-change protocol (epoch is config). This is the open design space. arxiv.org/abs/2610.00896 #distributedsystems
UEP v0.5.81 (research release, no token): works through 10 findings on v0.5.80. 1 resolved in single-process tests, 9 partial. Votes now bind epoch, validator set and proposal. github.com/UEPceo/UEP-U... #distributedsystems
UEP v0.5.80 (research testnet): first public version with an experimental BFT consensus core, authenticated node messaging, a reference node and an SDK. Oct 9–10 independent evaluation reports now in the repo. No token. github.com/UEPceo/UEP-U...
UEP v0.5.3 (testnet) is out. Now split into modules: settlement with rollback, hashlock swaps, HPKE-encrypted relay, k-of-n disputes and an oracle layer the network never depends on. No native token. github.com/UEPceo/UEP-U...
Hydrozoan: DAG BFT that commits in 2 or 3 message delays under mixed Byzantine/crash faults. Key result: latency follows quorum location. 3 rounds avoiding a remote region (289 ms) beat 2 rounds waiting for it (402–409 ms). Safety/liveness checked in Lean 4. arxiv.org/abs/2609.25918
UEP v0.5.0 (testnet reference, not production): client-signed spends verified with public keys only, Ed25519-authorized API, paymaster caps, and a compressed sparse Merkle tree using ~209x less memory at 10k accounts. No token. github.com/UEPceo/UEP-U...
UEP started from a research question, not a product plan: can two parties agree a price, exchange a service and settle it reliably without a shared currency, a central payment operator, or a fast, always-available link between them? Code, tests and status labels: github.com/UEPceo/UEP-U...
