Seattle just became the first city to pass a ban on surveillance pricing by grocery stores. The City Council passed a proposal stopping large grocery stores and online grocery retailers from using race, gender, browsing history, employment, or AI software to change prices from consumer to consumer.

UFCW 3000 warmly welcomes the Providence St. Peter Quality Assurance RNs to our union! These nurses started organizing in December 2025, united around concerns about job security, pay equity, workload, accountability, and workplace protections.

Congratulations to the workers at Broadcast Coffee! In April, the employer voluntarily recognized this crew. After this win, they head to the table to fight for stronger wages, affordable health care, and respect for queer and trans workers.🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Answer: Because they think they can. But REI Union and REI members are fighting to stop this corporate slide and bring the co-op back to its roots.

REI co-op members won't be silenced! On Wednesday, longtime members set up camp outside the Seattle flagship store in solidarity with @reiunion workers, who called for a boycott of the Anniversary Sale, which runs through Monday, May 25.

Stop the union busting and give workers a fair contract, NOW! Day 4 of the @rei Anniversary Sale boycott is going strong, with @reiunion members standing outside every store in Washington to inform community members about worker efforts to return REI to its roots.

Workers are fed up. Rather than deliver the wages workers need to live and the time workers need to #optoutside so we can deliver the level of expertise our members expect, REI is spending that money on union busting law firms who charge thousands of dollars an hour to crush workers.

We will not let REI turn into a churn-and-burn corporate retailer like the rest. That's why we're out here. That's why we're boycotting until May 25.

Boycotting REI is not a decision @reiunion came to lightly, but the company's actions have left us no other choice. Not shopping during the largest sale of the year will have a dramatic impact, and, as employees of REI, we have a vested interest in seeing it prosper.

REI has strayed dramatically from its roots. For the last four years, the "co-op" has run an intense union-busting campaign using the same anti-union law firm that Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Trump use to fight against workers' rights.

REI workers did not make this decision lightly, but the company has left us with no choice. We’re boycotting May 15-25 and taking action to hold them accountable, supported by more than 70,000 REI members.

REI has strayed dramatically from its roots. For the last four years, the "co-op" has run an intense union-busting campaign using the same anti-union law firm that Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Trump use to fight against workers' rights.

Last summer, REI promised to put workers first and finally start bargaining in good faith. Fast-forward a year later, and they’re still refusing to reach a fair union contract that actually benefits REI workers.

May Day 2026! We marched to demand workers over billionaires. Now we work to make it happen. Organize a union in your workplace if you don’t have one. If you do, contact your reps to learn how you can step up to be a shop steward at your worksite or get more involved.

On May Day, workers across the globe stand together to show that we have the power — not the billionaire class. Today we march for workers over billionaires, for local communities over federal oppression, for public services over foreign wars. Join us to build a better world for all working people.

Today we celebrate the lives of trans people and the part they play in our workplaces, unions, and communities. We also acknowledge that vicious transphobic attacks masquerading as legislation force our families, coworkers, and friends to contend with stark choices about where and how they can live.

Today, REI workers announced their next steps to win a union contract after overwhelmingly rejecting an inadequate offer and management refusing to return to the table with a fair deal. REI loves to sell itself as forward-thinking, but its actions tell a different story. @ufcw3000.bsky.social

As Washington State's legislative session rapidly wraps up, join us for the March edition of Labor at Aslan to discuss the bills we're still pushing to improve the lives of working people!

JoVona's leadership at the kidney dialysis firm, Fresenius, shows us all what solidarity looks like in action: Always check your check, speak up when see something wrong, and step up when your coworkers need you!

We're proud to welcome North Helpline workers into our union! These food bank workers spend their days fighting for food justice in North Seattle, making sure every one of our neighbors has a safe space to eat fresh food.

Join us for the March edition of Labor at Linda's to discuss the bills we're still pushing to improve the lives of working people, including legislation to create a fairer tax code, protect immigrant workers, improve our hospitals, and allow more workers to form unions!

This week, we're spreading the word about our fight to reclaim our co-op from administrators who want to turn our stores into cookie-cutter chains. PCC workers are demanding an end to outsourcing the deli, good wages for sustainable staffing so we can deliver the level of service customers deserve.

Nothing banishes the long dark quite like a night of building solidarity with follow unionists. Come for a nice beverage and good company at Aslan Brewery in Bellingham on Tuesday, January 20 at 5:30 pm.

On January 19, 2026, we will gather to march, rally, and demand that our nation chooses community over chaos. Together, we honor Dr. King not as a sanitized symbol, but as the radical truth-teller he was—a man who believed that a better world is not only possible, but necessary.

This year make a resolution to hang out in common areas, build solidarity, and talk about the fights ahead. Join us for our first Labor at Linda's Tavern next Tuesday, January 6, 2026!

What a way to close out 2025! More than 150 workers at the Lumen Field and Renton Landing Pro Shops just voted to join our union. These hard workers are also passionate sports fans themselves, and they're pumped to cheer on their favorite teams as they bargain their first union contract.

UFCW 3000's member-led Political Action Advisory Committee (PAAC) met to discuss how to build pro-worker people power heading into the next election. Our PAAC interviews and evaluates every candidate who seeks our union's endorsement. Then we work to put them in office and hold them accountable!

As Starbucks workers strike for a fair contract, grocery workers who serve Starbucks coffee stand with them. Our members can't join the strike, but we will not cross a picket line and we will loudly and proudly spread SWU's message: every worker deserves a fair contract NOW!

As heavy rains and flooding threaten our region, UFCW 3000’s Mt. Vernon office will remain open as a hub for members, staff, and community from 9 am to 5 pm Wednesday. We will provide water and refer people to resources to mitigate the impacts of the floods.

Please see our website to find other resources for members during flooding and extreme weather events, including information on our membership assistance fund. In the meantime, stay safe, stay dry, and do not drive through standing water! 🙂
