Basque Country is a stunning, ancient place with a complicated story that parallels with Vancouver Island and the First Nations in more ways than you might expect. We'll be back here, later but in the AM we're off to the Mediterranean side for a week or so.

This afternoon in UkeeTube on the road we walked the streets of Tolosa. A smaller town outside of San Sebastián in the Basque Country. In addition to all the amazing architecture they have a puppet museum that we spent hours in. I’ll have a reel it when I have some time. #Tolosa #BasqueCountry

The Amphitrite Lighthouse in Ucluelet was built in 1915 to prevent shipwrecks in The Graveyard of The Pacific, including the area along the west coast of Vancouver Island. Since then she has stood for more than 110 years. Working hard and looking good doing it! #Ucluelet #Tofino #VancouverIsland

Tofino's Cox Bay is a popular destination on Vancouver Island. The north side of the bay is capped by a rocky point that some call Sunset Point or Pettinger Point. I've tried but so far been unable to find a Nuu-Chah-Nulth name for it. #Tofino #Ucluelet #VancouverIsland

A recent shoot for a client brought me to a unique location overlooking Barkley Sound and the Ucluelet Harbour at sunset. It's great to be able to get a bird's eye view with a proper camera instead of just the drone sometimes. Maybe I need a helicopter :P #Ucluelet #Tofino #VancouverIsland
