Working on a multiple location outlook page, to give 10-day #uksnow chance for up to 5 locations. Trying to keep it simple but useful… Does this work?

The new snow forecast map feature is out in the latest version of the UK Snow Map app. Click the cloud icon bottom right and slide to see 4 days of #uksnow forecast. Tap the key labels to toggle layers on/off. Version 3.8.0 in the App Store and Play Store now.

Adding snow forecast data into the UK Snow Map app for when it’s a bit quieter! Still working on the details but here’s how it looks at the moment; hourly forecast 3 days ahead, ability to toggle on/off falling snow (white), snow depth (purple) and general precipitation (blue).

New #uksnow app update is out, which includes the Outlook tab which shows the chance of snow in your location for the next 7 days ❄️

Working on a #uksnow forecast feature for the app. The idea is to simplify a number of contributing snow factors down to a single "snow-chance" number (out of 10, obviously!) without getting too bogged down in the detail.

Next app update - added a label when there’s no mapped reports to make that clearer, and added a better photo viewer so you can swipe between photos. In review with Apple and Google now, should be released in the next few days. #uksnow

So this is something I’ve been considering for a while, would be interested to see what everyone thinks… Should the @uksnowmap app have an in-app snow reporting option? This would mean you don’t need to send a #uksnow post on Bluesky / X for it to show up on the map… Thoughts?

Made a couple of tweaks to the way #uksnow reports are pulled in this evening. Images are now being imported correctly again, and there's a duplicate detection system that hopefully means anyone cross-posting over different platforms will only have their first post pulled in.

Interesting difference in interactions between here and there. Same (terrible) post, sent at the same time of day 👀
