So that is the effect this is having on me personally.I have defended Ethan to several people over the years, there were some things I could not defend but many things I did.Me defending those things was often part of a bigger picture for me,not always about Ethan, but it often was.(cont.)

Ethan Klein cheated on his wife and has pretty much ruined her life. Compared to that, my favorite podcast ending seems like a small thing, but it is a great source of joy and laughter for me that will now end, and that's a hard pill to swallow.

The upsides to Ethan Klein cheating on his wife/the H3 Podcast ending: - I don't have to look at the Chucky doll in their Halloween background anymore - Oliver Tree didn't have to see this because he's dead - Ned Fulmer can make a new friend

I'm gonna face pressure on this from 3 people in my life tomorrow and then I'm gonna have to talk to my freaking parents about it too because "the podcast" always comes up once or twice when I'm staying with them. Fuck

Going with the "bigger picture" thing, I often tried to extricate the conversations from being about Ethan, saying things like "I'm not his lawyer", and conceding the stuff I don't like about him. I will mentally lean on those moments now so that I don't feel like a complete fool. (cont.)

But it's still going to be hard not to. The H3 Podcast was more than just Ethan, any fan knows that, but we wouldn't have been watching it if we didn't support Ethan on the whole. I did. I can't anymore.

Even very recently I was saying to my close friend that I thought Ethan at his core was a good person. I can no longer say that and I hate that it reflects badly on me to know I was saying that WHILE he was cheating. (cont.)

I hope #TearsoftheKingdom defenders like myself aren't conceding to any points about the re-used open world being bad. We should be defending that too, they did some really cool stuff with it and it only comes off as a "bad" choice because of how long the game took to make.

Order of the Sinking Star is still kicking my ass, but at least I'm mostly overthinking the puzzles instead of underthinking them, which would be worse. I think I've still barely scratched the surface though.

We just totally failed with AI as a society, huh. We didn't listen to the 75 years of warnings in - and outside! - of media, and now AI is at the stage where it has been allowed to get smarter and stronger, and will continue, without any guardrails on it. There's going to be some kind of catastrophe.

Watching a podcast do a horror movie tier list and like a third of the way in they suddenly start talking about criteria, like"is it actually scary","is it a good Halloween movie",like bro,if you didn't decide this before going into it,throw that shit away, just rank how much you like the damn movies.

I don't know if Social Reckoning is going to work as a movie, because like...the reckoning didn't work. Things just got worse, way worse. Social Network was an analysis of Zuckerberg as a person. Reckoning might be an account of a historical event that barely had any impact.

Tell me the truth: If you see this guy alone at a 9:55 screening of Primetime, are you thinking "He's definitely here for tips on what not to do?"

I will defend Death Stranding 2 in a lot of ways - and if you visit the DS subreddit you will see this is sometimes needed because it get a lot of criticism there - but I do not like Neil Vana. I don't think he's necessary to the game almost at all.

Trying to finish Cyberpunk - the time they introduce Kerry Eurodyne's questline makes no sense. AFTER they give you access to the game's final mission, THEN you have to do a sequence of missions related to Rogue/finding Adam Smasher, THEN they give you Kerry, one of the few romances in the game??

Going back to VS after like 2 years of Deep Rock Survivor being my main Survivor-like feels like cheating on my spouse with an old girlfriend

Clear who the reference is without even actually seeing the character, lol

She carries this plush around throughout the game and is always showing it to people like "This is my husband, he's still alive"

No game "flipped a switch." There are several that I played around the ages when I started focusing on the mechanics, how to play them well, replaying them, etc. Luigi's Mansion,Yoshi's Island GBA,Wind Waker,Sonic Adventure DX(printed out an online guide for that), Pokemon Pinball GBA, Paper Mario 2.

If you do a Godzilla ranking and the original film is near the top and its "King of the Monsters" version is near the bottom, that just makes me think you don't know what you're doing. The KOTM version is worse than the Japanese but not by TOO much. I did the smart thing and didn't even rank it!

Jake has scared me for awhile, I think if you watch footage of him, he seems kind of psychotic and dangerous. His brother doesn't seem that way, he does. He has some allegations already and I'm sure there are a lot more we don't know about.

Francis Ford Copulate@francis-f-copulate.bsky.social

we live in the dumbest and most depraved timeline in human history.

Last night at Halloween Horror Nights,I had my phone off to save power, & I saw this guy in front of me in line looking at this very official-looking multi-paragraph "RIP Robert Downey Jr. 1965-2026" post, and, I'm not an RDJ superfan, but I had to ask my friends to check if that shit was real

It's a real shame The Silver Chair movie was canceled as that was my favorite of the books. A really bizarre adventure. I hope they get to adapting it at some point.

I was always under the assumption that the "timeline order" Narnia collections have it in is wrong, and that Lion Witch & Wardrobe really should be first. Though, I can't fault Gerwig for wanting to adapt something not done already. I like the weird animated paint thing they have going on.

Experience the creation of Narnia, as filmmaker Greta Gerwig brings to life C. S. Lewis’s beloved story THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW for the first time. In cinemas worldwide 12 February, 2027.

I need to beat Cyberpunk by the end of this month. Then maybe I can squeeze in Slitterhead for Halloween before moving onto Dragon Quest XI as my next huge game.

25 years ago, terrorists killed nearly 3,000 people, including 2,753 New Yorkers. As we remember that terrible day, let us also remember the first responders, office workers and strangers who ran toward danger to help each other.
