Working on framing my 2026 art backlog, with these pieces from La Gata Fea embodying all of the pain and hurt and hope and resilience we found along the way.

I love how, when my partner walks in while I am leaving my umpteenth angry voicemail for Amy Klobuchar, he knows to smile, walk away, and come back 5 minutes later. Unless the sky is falling, do not interrupt my vitriol.

Just left a message on Sen. Klobuchar’s DC phone machine wondering when she was going to be putting out a statement…bets on how long we will be waiting??

I’m outraged by this attack on Representative Omar. Trump and his DOJ have a bizarre obsession with tearing down Minnesota, our leaders and our communities. This latest action, even as voting has already started in Minnesota, is a transparent attempt to interfere in our elections.

Little Blue Free Library 2.0 has landed in Kingfield and is chock full of books to share. Although its chameleon circuit remains faulty, it manifested a rebel loon cuz Minneapolis. Come visit at 38th and Garfield!

And if you’ve got late grade school/young adult books that appeal to kids these days, please bring some by! I have a ton of picture books that folks like, but no one is interested my dated selection of kids chapter books (who wouldn’t want bunnicula and goosebumps lolsob).

Checking out the Breakfast Club before spending money at Maegers and Quinn (you know, to support actual Uptown businesses), and the elderly gentleman next to us at the bar asked about my We Keep Us Safe shirt - is that the police? No, no it is not 🙃

I basically spend all year anticipating Star Trek: The Cruise. It’s not deep, but it’s a distraction from *waves hand vaguely at everything.* Levar Burton a guest in 2027, and I am beside myself. Currently assembling an army of geordi bears add to the rainbow bookmarks I’m making.

Ace was named for the best Doctor Who companion, but she’s grown to be moopsy shaped. Now I need a Star Trek/Doctor Who crossover involving Ace and some moopsies.

CONvergence cosplay prep supervised by Mr. “I ate 5 feet of ribbon that required $8k of surgery, what do you mean I can’t be left alone with raffia.” Working on e4 and e8 Widow’s Bay Patricias - spell books and creepy crowns and tasers and shotguns oh my! Kyle gets to closet cosplay Tom.

Any CONvergence geeks on the MSP feed? All my ribbons have been delivered or dug out of the basement and are set for the 4 days a year I pretend to be an extrovert!

Me: it’s been an exhausting year, I’m not going to do any costumes or ribbons for CONvergence, and just keep it low key Also me: *hyperfocuses on Widow’s Bay and thrifts as many Patricia costumes as I can over the next 3 weeks*

Heyyyy it’s that day where your friends in the twin cities once again won’t shut up about Prince. My contribution is my favorite punny costume - Purrple Rain, done for CONvergence 2021.

I’ve been dreaming of a space themed piercing set up for years, and it’s all coming together with this custom hidden helix piece from BVLA. Working with the folks at Bevel Minneapolis, I may not have lived out my childhood dream of going to space, but I can wear that kid’s wonder and hope every day.

As we teeter on the brink of nuclear WW3, please find a little joy in just how proud this little guy is of his handy work. He yelled at us until we followed him to the bathroom, and then rolled around the floor purring with pride

Kitten posting will continue until morale improves. Did I tell ya’lll that this little asshole ate 5 feet of ribbon the day before we were supposed to leave for our Star Trek Cruise? Luckily caught it before we left and got Roan into emergency surgery. His nickname is now Gold Pressed Latinum.

Just put in a preorder to pick this up at Magers and Quinn in June. I have a had a hard time reading non fiction beyond doomscrolling the news, but will make it a goal to actually read this book

Never imagined I would be saying this: but My book is coming out in June and you can now preorder it wherever you buy books! This was a project I could never have dreamed of and I feel wildly lucky to have done it. Turns out there might be a lot to learn about our country from my hometown

She’s beauty. She’s grace. She’ll punch you in the face. Kedi is a former Minneapolis kitty hall cat-idate. We went to visit her at animal control after the event, where she pegged us as bleeding heart suckers and bit Kyle, knowing I wouldn’t leave her behind to be put down.

Back home from Star Trek: The Cruise! Our Minnesota themed door and give away items were well received, and facilitated dozens of conversations about the federal invasion. It’s always shocking to step outside my twin cities bubble and face the fact that no one really knows how bad it is here.
