Knocking nonstop until Election Day. 9 days to go!!

Knocking Mac Groveland with Omar Syed and Meg Luger-Nikolai! Don't forget to flip your ballot and vote for the DFL candidates for school board!

Knock knock 🚪🚪🚪🚪

Just finished up at the League of Women Voters forum with these cool school board candidates.

The stars aligned for this joke. The policy we were actually reviewing was Policy 420.00: Minnesota Paid Leave.

Today the Panthers get their first win of the season. Go Panthers! #KeepPounding

Flip your ballot and vote for the DFL, Educator, and Labor-Endorsed candidates for Saint Paul School Board! ✅ Uriah Ward ✅ Stephanie Anderson ✅ Omar Syed

Trans girls are girls. Trans boys are boys. All of our kids should be able to play sports 🏳️‍⚧️

Assuming the local labor movement is on board with this, this is a really exciting idea. Municipal governments have taken on economic empowerment, but how many have actually helped workers organize? This has the potential to do so much good for struggling families. www.politico.com/news/2026/09...

Talking to voters on the West Side with Stephanie Anderson and Omar Syed!

First time taking my 3-year-old to the Fair! What should we do first?

I'm proud to be endorsed by the people who know my work the best: my colleagues on the Saint Paul School Board 💚

Behind the Scenes: Saint Paul School Board

I ran for School Board because I believed our kids deserved better. Two years into our new governance model and we can already see results. Graduation rate is up by 10%. Music and arts funding is up by 22.5%. We've expanded access to the trades. Civics scores are up. And more!

Don't forget to flip your ballot and vote for the DFL Candidates for Saint Paul School Board: Uriah Ward, Stephanie Anderson, and Omar Syed! Early voting starts September 18th.

Today I'm publishing North Star Governance, an open-source school board governance model built on community input and democratic accountability. It's free to use, adapt, and build on. If you've been asking me what a real alternative to SOFG looks like, here it is! medium.com/@uriahstp/in...

When I first joined the Saint Paul School Board, I was able to pass proposals to stream our COB meetings and lengthen our public comment period. I've consistently worked to make our board more transparent and accessible. And that transparency has made us better!

The moment we approved our new strategic plan! I'm so excited to see us moving forward in partnership with the community we serve, focused on the wellbeing of our students. And I did finally get one of those SPPS 2033 shirts 💚

We just approved our new strategic plan!

Meeting time. We're talking about the district's new strategic plan tonight!

This is correct.

My birthday is tomorrow and we're getting close to our fundraising goal! If you can, please make a donation so we hit $5,000 and fund a strong re-election campaign! secure.actblue.com/donate/uriah...

My birthday is coming up this weekend. I'm asking for help funding our re-election campaign. If you can, please chip in so we can buy literature, advertisements, and organize voter outreach efforts. We're getting close to our goal! secure.actblue.com/donate/uriah...

Happy Primary Election Day!! If you haven't yet, please go vote! Your school board candidates won't be on your ballot until November, so don't worry when you don't see us today!

We've got yard signs! Let me know if you want ones for the DFL-endorsed school board candidates.

Orren came to knock with me today!

Orren loves to read the letters on my shirts. Since I mostly wear shirts I've gotten for free through my work, it makes him sound like a labor unionist 🤣

Apartment knocking with the DFL team!

New game: Orren picks a number. We walk around the store trying to find that number. Lots of celebrating when we find it. He's very good at this game.

I'm thrilled here. Orren is annoyed that Ashley is interrupting Bluey to take the picture.

How awesome is it that SPPS playgrounds are open to everyone outside of school hours? Our schools benefit the whole community -- even if you don't have a kid enrolled. Public schools are the absolute best!

It was great talking to folks at the Rondo Block Party with my fellow DFL-endorsed school board candidate, Omar Syed!

This is what I mean when I talk about our governance model. You can read more about it here: www.spps.org/about/board-...

Like in previous years, I'm using my birthday to raise funds for our re-election campaign. I'm turning 35 on August 16th and it would mean the world to me if you donated so we can continue our work on the board. If you can, please make a donation today! secure.actblue.com/donate/uriah...

Orren has figured out he can get Olive to stop crying if he dances around her singing the alphabet.

Knocking some apartments on the East Side. Let's GOTV!

Today was Orren's last day of t-ball. It was a lot of fun and we have discovered just how competitive our 3-year-old is.

I hate how many men's restrooms still don't have baby changing stations.

Your DFL slate for Saint Paul School Board is out at Rondo Days. Come find us!

Orren has realized he can make forts out of pillows and cushions. I've been waiting for this moment 🏰🐉⚔️

We're on the ballot! We filed today alongside our fellow DFL-endorsed candidates, Stephanie Anderson and Omar Syed.

The Saint Paul School Board completed most of our District Relations and Internal goals for last year. We set new ones on student engagement, technology use in classrooms, and artificial intelligence. You can read the goals in full here: www.spps.org/about/board-...

I keep meeting school board members who don't know what school boards are allowed to do and are under the impression that superintendents direct the work of the board. I took a look at state statutes. TL;DR: The school board is in charge -- if they decide to be. #EduSky medium.com/@uriahstp/wh...

Olive cries if I stop singing. I'm currently stuck in an infinite loop of 'Down by the Bay.' I'm running out of rhymes. Send help.

The budget the Saint Paul Public Schools Board of Education adopted last night isn't perfect, but there's a lot here to be proud of.

First day of t-ball!! I can't believe it's that time already 😭

We're watching the Stanley Cup Final. Every time a player gets a penalty, Orren says they're being put in "time out." He's not wrong 🤣
