I hope their serious about going back to basics with the original gameplay style and they don’t try to add movement gimmicks and weapon upgrades and ads and such. let me strafe and jump while returning fire again that’s all I ask

The first SIGNAL LOST Development Update in 2 years is now live on ModDB, featuring a 16 minute long devlog, an absolute load of new Episode 1 & Episode 2 media, and several weapon model showcases. Hopefully it'll of stacked the weight! Link to the video, article, and more below!🧵

the kinds of people like who get a bunch of orbiters for doing Nothing and then take advantage of that no matter how minor it is always freak me out

as much as I really like Remedy's work I'm still mixed on the concept of remaking Max Payne but the potential of that sorta gameplay with the actual processing power to do real time bullet velocity calculations and proper real time time dilation sounds excellent

The Trump administration wants the fighting to stop so they can just import Russian gas to offset the upcoming oil shock caused by the Iranian's retalitory closing of the Strait of Hormuz caused by their invasion and pretend everything's fine.

I never met the guy personally but he made some pretty bitchin levels that people to this day are still dissecting and drawing from as reference. Rest in Power

Richard B. Gray - LEVELORD 11/15/1957 - 10/12/2026 Just heard the news that an old friend of mine has passed on. Richard Gray - aka Levelord has departed the planet. I know he's dealt with cancer on and off for awhile now, a word that I cannot stand. Word comes from his wife Olga.

You could actually go further than that and say the labor disputes after the Sammy merger completely sucked them dry and they’ve been a husk since that’s gotten by mostly on existing IP

When people talk about the decline of the sonic series I dont think they really talk about segas post dreamcast restructuring. I think that absolutely killed them creatively, they lost a lot of talent and they were never the same.

They are absolutely not the same company that made the Dreamcast and it legitimately pisses me off to see people act like they still deserve that same respect. You’d think people would’ve learned their lesson the Crazy Taxi AI, STH Tupac and 500 other things that clearly demonstrate this

There’s a common pattern with fan games where people will look at the flaws of the games they like and then completely overcompensate for them so hard it becomes annoying

Of all the random ideas that became sort of standard in video games during this period I’m disappointed hidden techniques were never one of them just for the experience of accidentally using one of the special beam attacks when I had Power Bombs equipped and Losing My Goddamn Mind

Big fan of attract modes and Super excels in this department. The normal demo showcases a lot of the straightforward abilties, but beating the game then unlocks a new set that shows you even more crazy stuff you never knew you could do.

The Tower of Zeldaga is a mashup of the Legend of Zelda and Tower of Druaga. Every room has a secret puzzle and the puzzles get more obtuse as you go on. It's free, runs in your browser (incl mobile), supports controllers, and I'd really love for you to try it out! legitimatebusiness.biz/tower/

It’s just supposed to be a comedic video making fun of video game advertising but the whole flat colored minimalist early CG look is weirdly compelling and probably done just to not make whatever pc funnymovieinternet was using on 2006 explode but it’s on my mind a lot

A research project my brother at uni was supposed to be doing where they were supposed to use drones for bird spotting basically got DOGE’d and I’m still pissed off about it

You could say it’s a skill issue but I think BLOOD’s gunplay is way overtuned the and level design is pretty average and it’s mostly carried by vibes

Extremely strangely wide gulfs between the damage output of most enemies or the actual utility of some weapons that exist more for deathmatch it feels like

what makes me the angriest about tech guys is that the subject of their idealistic detachment is stupid impractical fake tech they saw in sci-fi films and books when they were 12. their burning the world down trying to make stupid shit like flying cars, humanoid robots or self driving cars happen.

I'm sure it's fine that 100% of our economic growth is being driven by guys whose entire understanding of computers comes from Avengers: Age of Ultron

And now their biggest fascination is building Jarvis/HAL-9000 in real life even if it takes cannibalizing the entire consumer electronics industry and building massive resource hog data centers that just kill us all even faster to do so

It’s funny that the new Metroid potentially opens with Samus being the victim of a hit and run and that’s how she gets reset to zero this time

ratings boards gave it away years ago, and now it's finally official: Cybernetic Attack Final Mission, the latest classic Natsume-Atari remake from the veterans at Tengo Project (Wild Guns, Ninja Warriors Again, Pocky & Rocky, Shadow of the Ninja)—no platforms/ETA but it'll be playable @ TGS, 09-C01

It’s just supposed to be the absolutely depraved “solution” to ray tracing tech debt and ineffective but expensive algorithms for multiple other stages of the render pipeline

thoughts on DLSS5: this is the final boss of homogenization I'd never even think about using it, even out of morbid curiousity thankfully my graphics card can't run it lol

It’s still incredibly funny to me that the Gravemind and how their animated is clearly based on Audrey II from the theatrical adaptation of Little Shop of Horrors
