The Postal Service should be at the top of the political agenda for all parties! It impacts so many people when things go wrong, but, likewise, when thing go right! Some serious hearings should be just the starting point to rebuild our public Postal Service.

Letter Carrier Josh Gueniot was delivering mail in Essex Junction, VT, recently when he heard a woman yelling. The Postal Service employee saw the customer on the floor of her screened-in porch, where she had fallen 24 hours earlier and couldn’t move.

“We want them to know it’s safe,” said Daniel Matthews, president of the North Carolina Postal Workers Union and a Wilmington postal clerk. “It’s been here for generations, and they should not be afraid to use it.”

Postal penny pinching is slowing your mail. It's clear from this GAO report that the USPS cannot cut its way to success. We need to stabilize the current financial situation and then expand services to build a Post Office of the future.

The top official at the U.S. Postal Service said Thursday that the agency has stopped work on developing a controversial computer system that was central to President Donald Trump’s effort to limit mail voting after the Supreme Court rejected his executive order this week

A bi-partisan poll conducted by Hart Research and North Star Opinion Research in April found 34% of the more than 1,000 U.S. voters polled said they relied on vote by mail, including almost half of seniors.

The Supreme Court has only paused this rule until after the election. The USPS Board has the power to end it for good.

There's a lot of focus on vote-by-mail right now. Rightly so! But this isn't the only Postal Service fight right now. Corporate extremists are coming for our service - they want to cut delivery days or cut off communities entirely. Whatever happens on vote-by-mail, keep your eyes on the USPS.

Another day, another injunction. A federal court finds that Congress did not provide the USPS the power to create a voter-database or block ballots that don't comply.

Remember: as it stands, the USPS Vote By Mail rule has been stopped by the courts. We are still fighting it. Vote by mail is safe and secure. Return your ballot by mail early. Don’t discourage others from voting. They may not have another method!
