I want to point out this is why I have not played an event in a while. Last online tournament I played was in July. I’ve played 2 LANs since then and I am not mad with my decisions with it. I’ve played this game competitively for so long and have pushed one weapon and there were multiple reasons.

As always, I’ve been in this scene because I enjoy the people I’m around. I’ve been staying in production and staff circles because I care for the scene to improve. I’ve been streaming events because people need more help. I want to be on mic more as a colour/analyst for events (plz reach out)

The only issues comes with the time I need to commit and for me, my career path has been my primary focus and I’m happy to bring my knowledge I learn over where I can. I’m happy to share more reasons and my thoughts another time. This is long enough

Of my sanity in the current state of the game. Restating: without sacrificing my sanity. If I wanted to push the weapon more, I could. However there are a lot of other things in my life that I deem more valuable than pushing myself to play a weapon in a game I deem as not fun right now.

This is not a retirement post from competitive because there may always be a comeback or a tournament here and there. This is a post about how I feel on the topic and what I have been acting on. If I cared to only win, I would have just played zap or learn another weapon for the past 3 years.

Playstyle and have to learn and adapt to that, hence slow to get results in early Splatoon 3 era. Since then, a lot of improvement has been shown getting top 16 a few times at Riptide and top 8 in many other events… until the fun died down. I am not afraid of saying I hate how s3 plays but it’s not-

An excuse for bad results. It is an excuse for not enjoying the learning process because of all the counterplay the weapon has, many of which feeds into what has been good. With all the ranged, fast-killing weapons there are, I believe I’ve pushed explo as far as I can without sacrificing all-

For fun weapon. Once I saw Japan use it I realized I should as well. It fit my personal playstyle better than the splatlings and sloshers I was playing at the time so it leaned into what I already enjoyed doing. When I started trying to win with this weapon was in 2021, months before leaving my

First comp team of 2 years. The reason I left was because of the difference in goals where I wanted to push myself to win and the others were not ready for that commitment. Months later, I formed TZS with DRF, Kraken, and Brian and we have been kicking since. Splatoon 3 brought a different-

One is because I saw the potential in it. I’m a natural support player and played slosher class and the people I was playing with needed more range. I picked up explo in competitive because of that. After seeing the potential, it was the only weapon I focused my improvement on. Learning what other-

Weapons can do to me and find a way to make it work within team synergy. I’m an analyst in this series for many of these reasons because I know how weapons want to fight and how people want to move. The other reason is because it is fun for me. Ever since it released in 2018 it has always been my-

Can’t look at any webpages rn since work is about to start and want to see if there’s a time without overlap I can do my ama

The hardest part about posting stuff on prod is that people have different but similar workflows that lead to the same exact result so many things end up being subjective and I know news directing workflow is very different from CCA workflow which is also different from IPL. And schedule issues…

I’m happy to discuss anything from virtual esports like we do in the splat scene, all the way to news and then even sports. It does seem like there is some interest so the question will always be, is it worth the live stream or would it be better to record a video on it?

because people may ask this is not a callout to anything that has happened, this is just my career field im studying and have been working in for the past 4+ years and i want to talk about it more

The more I’m in this career the more I want to finish college and have a place to go to for it. I hate how the turnaround times are just so fast….

CCA is how I got my entry into commentating. If you have the time, go lend a hand to the collegiate scene. Not only are the very fun and great to work with, but it's always a fun watch!

Interested in commentating for CCA Circuit’s current season and beyond? Well you’re in luck, as CCA is looking for new commentary talent!!🎙️🎉 Anyone is welcome to apply via our rolling commentary application form that has no deadline! Link: forms.gle/FtMtX7K62LDE... #compsplatoon

Really good show today. Minimal mistakes is very good. Talent was really good. Making a good recovery with a promoter mistake. Proud of the crew and I’m happy I get to work with them again in a few months

Had a little bit of comedy with low ink stream yesterday. No frames dropped thankfully but my transition override didn’t work so low ink stream got a swim or sink jumpscare lmao

A lot of new kids doing editing and scripting this week and some things weren’t checked before it went on air. Produced very well and did some fun shots. Proud of the team I worked with this week even through the issues

I don’t know if it’s a bad habit or just unlucky. But every time I see myself in an auto thumbnail, it is me with my hand on my neck. What does this mean

I was a moderator for my class today with guest speakers that work with content creators as their career. It was to fun having discussions with them and poking their minds on so many things

Another collegiate season is on its way with the CCA Circuit! Grab your college teams and play or watch live on the CCA YouTube channel!

Welcome to the fall semester! CCA Circuit Season 3 is here The CCA Circuit features single day qualifying events, with each team racing to qualify for the Circuit Finals In order to participate, teams must register through the google form then sign up for the qualifier they’re playing in on Sendou

I never made a post riptide post other than about my result so here we go ig. It was nice seeing people again. First, and maybe last, time all TZS members will be in the same room again. It was nice being with the group and it’s genuinely a little emotional thinking about it. I love the gamers

While I don’t know what happens for this next year, I don’t know what my focus will fully be. Professionally, I am finishing up university with graduation in May and then looking to enter the workforce in some sort of BTS production roll.

Splat scene, I may look into building my analysis knowledge as a caster and coach while continuing to push production forward with the collegiate scene. I do have coaching slots open on metafy.gg/@v4p0r if anyone is interested. Until next time… enjoy the time while you have it. Gn friends

I love helping out and being on mic. This year was probably the most fun I’ve had socially in a long time. Getting to meet and talk with SHZ was great. Having a very nice lunch with NWG while discussing Splat 2 and 3 changes and commentary was also enjoyable to figure out how I can improve myself.

Being on mic with chaedr and DRF was once again a blessing. Covering pools with chaedr and collegiate finals/silver semis with DRF was great. I wish to continue to work with both of you. I do want to try to do a tricast again so I’d be happy we we cast figure something out with other friends 😄

Please test for covid upon getting home. I have unfortunately tested positive. I was masked most of the time, but if you went to the water park, saw me at the yokes shindig, or had an extended convo with me (especially Saturday morning), pls test. I still have a lot to say that is good though

Go support your college
