This is the most alarming thing you'll read today. Trump is siding with Russia and China to create a new world order. This piece is based on a Wall Street Journal story. Where the hell are the Post and the Times? heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/october-18...

May everyone listen to this - share it widely
Jack Smith: "Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in serious crimes against our nation ... rather than accept his defeat in the 2020 election, he engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results and prevent the lawful transfer of power"
This is astonishing. Republicans complain that Trump is dragging them down in the midterms and then they carry his water by going after Jack Smith. They are worthy of derision and defeat. www.nytimes.com/live/2026/09...

Wow. Who would have guessed that Trump would throw Saudi Arabia under the bus after billions of dollars in investments — bribes — that have benefitted Trump and his family? Pro tip: Trump throws everyone under the bus. www.nytimes.com/2026/09/14/w...
Of all the damage this administration has done, this is probably the worst. In a year of record heat, floods and forest fires, it's insane that we are making it easier for polluters to speed up #ClimateChange. @maxinejoselow.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2026/09/13/c...

This is REALLY important. “Over 50% of Americans say climate change is a serious threat; only 10% think their compatriots feel the same That perception gap on the issue is among the highest in the world, per a new Gallup poll.” They want you to think you’re alone. You’re not. #ClimateCrisis
Indeed. Without vaccines and antibiotics, women often had 10 children in the hope that a few would survive.
This idiotic tweet reminds me of when a friend and I visited Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta. Founded in 1850, it reveals a fascinating history. We noticed how many gravestones were for infants. And for many young sibling dying in the same week. We realized that it was before vaccines and antibiotics.

What an incredible waste of money simply because Trump doesn't like "windmills." Imagine how $4 billion could have been spent to help people with health care or child care. apnews.com/article/trum...

Is everyone aware of the General Motors streetcar conspiracy? In the mid-20th century, auto and oil interests bought up electric streetcar systems across the US and systematically replaced them with bus routes and paved roads, funneling commuters toward private cars.

Great take from @sulliview.bsky.social about the cowardly Washington press corps sucking up to Trump. When Trump subpoenaed Times reporters to coerce revealing sources, the dinner should have been canceled in protest. open.substack.com/pub/margaret...

Hawaii just enacted a law that effectively neuters Citizens United. Montana could soon follow suit via a ballot referendum. Here's what you should know about the plans to get Big Money out of politics — and how they could be replicated where you live.

The beginning of the end of fossil fuels.
China switched on the world’s largest open-sea offshore solar farm in late 2025. 2.3M panels. 2,934 steel platforms. Built offshore to survive force-11 gales & sea ice. Powers ~2.67M people. And yes… they’re farming fish underneath it too. Solar above. Food below. Fossils below both.

BREAKING: SB 2471 has been signed into law! It’s the first of its kind in the nation and renders the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision irrelevant in Hawaii. This is a win for the movement to get big money, especially dark money, out of politics.
