Exactly the correct approach by our coach, Liam. Play as strong a starting lineup as possible, build a lead, then take it easy in the second half. Shame to concede but a fantastic win against a side that looked good until conceding the first pen.

Arsenal played this as they should… avoid losing Good reason they are top of the league Pretty impressed with Chelsea and shame our home performance was so abysmal

How I feel now at half time in the MHU is exactly how I was seething at half time when watching the Napoli match. This defies belief. Anyway, back to saying “cunt” lots for the second half

I write as we are deservedly 2-0 down to West Ham in the 39th minute. My big question… does Liam Rosenior actually pick the starting lineup?

I can't go to the West Ham or Leeds games, so my MHL season ticket is available. Face value, you obvs need to be a member - get in touch if interested. #CFC #ChelseaFC #ChelseaTickets #ChelseaSpares

5 of top 8 teams English. Teams not automatically thru include Real Madrid, PSG tvvats, and best of all for all who did Marseille (a) back in the day, they are out thanks to Jose’s keeper scoring a last minute goal against a spoilt Madrid side. Good evening

Thought our manager was smoking crack when I saw the starting defensive lineup. When he reverted to a normal back 4 Napoli were completely negated up front and this we could make the most of our talented attack. Love having Joao Pedro as striker in an attacking 3. Well done Chelsea.

This was my view when I was last in Napoli. For those fans going there for the first time… you won’t forget your visit. It’s what following Chelsea is all about!

Whilst a Man Utd victory was not in Chelsea’s best interests, having heard the most smug Arsenal interviewee on Radio 5 Live earlier (aren’t they all?) predicting an easy 3 points there is a part of me quite happy not only that the lost but also to 2 rocketing goals that will be replayed all season.

Solid performance and good to score several goals. It is somewhat tinged with regret that a formation that makes sense has not been played more often… let’s see if our manager sticks with this when Palmer returns to fitness. Nice to hear a full rendition of Chelsea Alouette from the away end!

Bournemouth do the same every time each season… don’t win for 10 games, then look great for the next 10. Weird as they have phenomenal attack.

Conor Gallagher is a top man so if he does go up to North London hope he is not given too much aggressive stick… a bit of banter is preferable

I wonder if we could build a first XI of Chelsea “cool” players? Don’t necessarily have to have been legends. Those of my time who spring to mind are Ruud Gullit, Gianluca Vialli and Hernan Crespo. I guess one could argue Pat Nevin? Goalkeeper might be tough to pick.

Whilst it was a brilliant kick from their keeper, I am staggered that Wilson was able to gallop in between 2 defenders and get in free on goal. Chalobah was nowhere to support his teammate. Would argue it is fortunate not to have been a pen as the “tug” took place in the box (oo-er-missus etc)

If our younger fanbase think “this is a weird club”, note that in ‘87/‘88 after our main goalkeeper Eddie Niedzwiecki got seriously injured v Oxford United we did not win a single league game for the rest of the season and were subsequently relegated via the playoffs.

BUT every time we have played Boro in a final since we have won each time… Zenith Data Systems 1990, FA Cuo 1997 and League Cup 1998

The manager when I first started attending Chelsea matches was John Hollins. Have to get a spreadsheet out for those since including the interims. Would love for Liam Rosenior to succeed for so many reasons… think many fans can afford him plenty of goodwill.

So Farewell Then Enzo Maresca Who if Jose was Waitrose Compared to a Tesco. (Or even Aldi Rhymes nicely with baldy) You made strange decisions On all parts of the pitch Starting five in attack Left us loose at the back

But it wasn’t all bad - we finished in fourth, Won a trophy ‘gainst teams that were rather poor. Beat those bastards from Paris That triggered their rage! (Were these not pre-season friendlies?) Shared a stage with a tangerine Who thinks he’s a sage.
