It's been such a shit stressful one and a half weeks on the personal side of things. Thankfully it's now over and everything is ok - and club football is back 💙🤍

Is that true? "We've been through these with other players too, not just Glen. The communication has been good. We're on the same page with the clubs, and of course we don't want that a player returns to club injured. We also had a clear understanding with Kamara's club"

Kamara played 45 minutes against Belarus and Albania during this international break, and didn't make an appearance against San Marino

"However clubs shouldn't complain and demand players to return, because due to their wishes one international break was removed and the schedule was compacted

QPR head coach Julien Stephan's comment emerged in British media. He said he had wished from Finland that Kamara wouldn't play too much in Nations League

Paraphrasing Friis from a English-Finnish translation back to English: "I don't it is fair that clubs set this kind of pressures on players during international break. I'd guess that we will see more this kinds of cases especially from larger clubs

The more I think about the situation the dumber it is Nobody in Finland wants this game against Belarus to even go ahead. There was a lot of talk about boycott. The home game proceeds have all been donated to Ukraine - the away leg will be played in Hungary.

And that sentiment goes all the way up to the Finnish FA. This is a small country. If what's been reported is true, I can't genuinely understand the decision making at QPR. Finns value honesty, collaboration and direct communication. Literally just pick up the phone and agree to it.

But no let's instead piss off the National Team who are now forced to protect their ability to call up players altogether, and risk FIFA suspending the player - defeating the entire point of the exercise.

We also have other midfielders. Due to the national team not being very good, there is a lot of appetite towards giving new younger players a chance. Whilst we all love Glen, the team does not rest on his shoulders. Perhaps there would've been someone who could've been called up - had they known.

And finally, we all love Glen. Everybody was so happy that he's got a chance to play again, and at a decent level. It's well known he has had a difficult time in the past few years, including his widely criticised move to Saudi. Finns do actually wish him well and understand his sensitive situation

We must be the only national team that has been accused of having the FA favouring the U21 head coach in player selection and withholding senior caps for the youth team We play in the same group as San Marino The national team is NOT life or death in this country

The Finnish FA are pretty pissed at QPR right now. Seems to have been no communication from the club towards Palloliitto. It does feel unnecessarily disrespectful - just ring them and ask. They'd most likely agree!

This article is in English. It’s also described in an online Danish media. Finland’s (Danish) coach claims that QPR ‘pressured’ Kamara to return to W12 during the international break. He says they will report QPR to FIFA. #QPR #Finland #Suomi #Kamara insidefutbol.com/2026/10/05/h...

QPR have told Glen Kamara to return to London from international duties. He won't be available for the game against Belarus in Hungary.
