In SoCal trying to figure out a way to get back to the PacNW

Just remembered buying a ticket to the unrated documentary Brother's Keeper to sneak into the NC-17 Bad Lieutenant at the Ridglea in Fort Worth in '92.

Yes, I am old. I went to public school. We read so many books. We were reading Steinbeck in 7th grade (sure, The Red Pony and The Pearl, but still!) and junior year we all had to select an author who wrote natively in something other than English and read a side by side translation

(Kafka, Allende, Coehlo, Mann, Abe, Nietzsche, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy) I work with a woman with an advanced degree who is probably 2 decades younger than me that was proud that she read some Harry Potter books in high school and a Bridgerton or 2 since. Like, what?? Wha happen?

Why I don't ever want to be a manager: I don't give a shit about your personal life and why you need to use your PTO. I do not want to enforce "rto." I do not want to rank the people who work here to determine their eoy bonus. I do not want be part of that boys' club.

Disco used to follow me everywhere. Now when he sees me taking out the trash or recycling, he's just like, "Have fun with that." #corgicrew

Todd Haynes and Laura Dern have only worked together on Enlightened, right? I need a feature. Also, Citizen Ruth 4k is on the way, right?

Was going to see Wildwood but it looks like most of the shows near me are close to sold out (only bad seats left)! Wanted to support it opening weekend but happy to support it sometime this week or next weekend.

I know racism is real because A) I was just in Texas and B) Renee Elise Goldberry doesn't have a shelf of awards for her portrayal of Wickie Roy

2nd ep of Cupertino was great, too. Liking the relationship between Colter and Keller. There was a reverse shot of Colter and his character's father where I was like, "That dude is tall!" Then Busy Phillips basically said the same thing when her character met him.

Our combo plate of laughter and unconditional love is rockin' #4 on the Prime Video comedy series chart. Folks still wanna believe and whatnot. Please enjoy "Clean Slate" if y'all haven't yet.

Avengers: The Children’s Crusade is the obvious next step after VisionQuest. I mean, our whole team and showrunner are ready to go and do it. I hope Feige sees the same. And we know people want more Scarlet Witch, but that’s in an unknown state.

How very Christian

Washington state can no longer require foster parents to provide an affirming and supportive home for LGBTQ+ children and youth, according to a settlement the state reached with a religious couple.

Some dumb ass blocked me because they didn't know some princess passenger guests who were in shots on the Love Boat had their cruise and travel comped. 🤣

Just watched it for the first time last week! Young Elaine Stritch who strangely looks the same?!

Why do they both look awful? Jordan is attractive and Butler is ...a person with a fit body so why do they both look like shit?

Three things that concern me, on a scale that I won’t divulge: 1. the thing where adults won’t watch or read things about “bad” people 2. All the first person genre fiction marketed as adult fiction. sorry. 3. The way that the people who we need to win don’t seem to want to win
