For eight years, the Easton Book Fair has been a prime event for book lovers and authors to discuss their favorite books, connect about writing and discover new titles from different genres. I have missed the Easton Book Fair for eight years in a row.

Twitter is back, yeah? Twitter’s demise is what lead me to Micro.blog. I’m nonexistent on Mastodon and l only look at Bluesky once every few days. I don’t know. Do I need another social media account?

Walked into the wrong garage, as my appointment was next door. The two garage’s branding schemes was similar. I’m sure they get people mixing it up all the time, but they were dicks about it. It’s Monday morning. Wheaton’s Law still applies: Don’t be a dick.

I don’t care about GTA 6. I don’t care that the game got leaked. I don’t care that it took 412 years to develop. I don’t care about the Netflix exclusive gameplay trailer. I’m already tired of the marketing. I’m sure everyone’s going to love it when it comes out, but it’s just not for me.

These two are obviously on a first date here at this Barnes & Noble cafe. The thing is, it becomes everyone’s first date. The pair of friends at the next table have stopped talking, and I feel like everyone is listening to them. Thank Crom for noise-cancelling headphones.

Just learned that Failure’s album Fantastic Planet was released 30 years ago today. I remember buying this CD in Phoenix in 1996 and endlessly listening. I can’t believe it’s been 30 years…

Watching the Field of Dreams game and I’m reminded as to why I prefer the Phillies radio coverage to the modern game. No interviewing a player WHILE HE’S PLAYING. No ads during the inning. No on-field cameras. I love baseball, but I can’t stand the modern game.

There are so many problems in the world, but there’s one synapse firing off in my brain telling me that it bothers me to see a shiny red Porsche parked in a handicap spot with no tags.

Just upgraded my 2nd generation Apple AirPods to AirPods 4, and while I like the redesign of the AirPods themselves, I hate that they changed the functionality. This is another repeating pattern for Apple lately. Changing something that was already working well, and everyone seems to hate it.

I found an old copy of Deathmate, the Valiant/Image Comics crossover. I completely forgot about Valiant comics. I believe that was the first time I encountered the concept of the far future, with Magnus & Rai taking place in the year 4000 a.d.

I live where they hold America’s largest free music festival. It’s 90 degrees today. Both the GF and the 2yr old don’t do well in the heat, soooo….

As someone who receives freelance inquiries, your website should not be difficult to navigate. No custom cursors, no hovering to pan, and don’t make the layout the size of the Grand Canyon. Less is more in every aspect of design.

Just found out about Kavinsky. President Macron says he was a source of French pride. I’m not French, but if there was ever a contemporary artist to be proud of, it’d be Kavinsky.

Oh my gosh, this Reddit post is real, because I just found it. I saw this on Bluesky and thought it was sarcasm. They were they upset that GPT stopped emulating specific authors for a book they are “writing” and paid for an advanced model. This will never be me. EVER.

Initial reaction to the Neuromancer teaser: POSITIVE, but a bit concerned. Its only a teaser, and it’s an adaptation, I just hope they didn’t take too many liberties with the story. I’ve always pictured Case more scruffy and rundown. Anyway, cautious optimism…

#StarTrek news coming out of #SDCC is only slightly encouraging. New characters and direction? Sure. It’s a movie, though. We’re years away from a movie. I honestly prefer a series (even limited) to a movie.

In my blog post about mediocrity, I didn’t want to cite examples, because I could spend hours deciding what to show as an example of mediocre output. Then there’s the question of it being subjective.
