Gee. Didn’t the government kill off buffalo to starve the Indigenous people awhile back? Seems as if old habits die hard. SNAP out of it, already! We don’t pay taxes for the rich to starve the poor, sick and elderly here.

Just because you love something/ someone doesn’t mean you don’t hate the way they sometimes behave. I love my country, but I hate the way we’ve treated our Indigenous people. I hate the racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, phony religiosity.

I hate our unwillingness to own our mistakes & become our better selves. It spread like a disease here, as has the joyful ignorance with which so many elected officials pretend not to know what’s happening. No Kings? You bet! And no Dukes, Lords, Barons, Counts or their female counterparts, either!

Today, The Beautiful Mess has reached 100,000 free subscribers!!! There are no words to accurately reflect how incredibly grateful I am that so many of you have chosen to be a part of this community since we launched 18 months ago.

Just pondering on the “make America great” theme: How does reopening an horrific prison with a terrible reputation in order to essentially disappear kidnapped people without due process make America great? Asking for a relatively rational citizen… of any country.

Please read the following 3 posts bottom to top, as I had to split them. Sorry for the verbosity, but am sick of Trump painting his questionable win as s mandate at the expense of the world referring to his horrific behaviors as “The Americans”. Let’s own the right side of history on this

That’s an important note for the history books when they look back on what is happening today. We need to emphasize “I’m an American, but it wasn’t me,” and stand strong accordingly, no matter what it costs us.

That said, I have been encouraging those of us in the at least 48.3% who wish to stand our ground and preserve this democracy to speak up when anyone credits “the American people” with voting for or mandating Trump, as less than half of us did. TBC.

Help me with a solution: “the American people” didn’t want this. 49.8% of the 63.9% of eligible US voters wanted him because they were either hopelessly misinformed (lied to) or self-serving partners of Corporate America, the only benefactors of the Trumpian State. TBC.

Here’s my fervent wish that we make our own Positive Project 2025: Consider those in need; care for those who are sick; don’t mock nor disdain the disabled; don’t enrich the wealthy at the expense of the poor; put kindness & empathy above cruelty & meanness; let others live as they choose. Be good.

Blessings to all, whatever you are feeling, celebrating, hoping for; whomever you are missing for whatever reason. I’ve seen more mournful messages than joyful this season, & yet, stores are packed with shoppers, holiday events are sold out, colorful light displays are abundant. What is missing?

Marjorie Taylor Greene threatens republicans with what seems to be existing ethics reports of republicans who have sexually assaulted and paid off victims. I keep saying, we know most of what Matt Gaetz did, but not those that don’t want their info shared. — 👇🏼
