VegettoEX

Running into (or away from?) 2026 with a fresh batch of video games to complete! Like last year (and like lots of other people!), I'll keep a running thread with titles, links, screens, etc. Some games already in-progress, more queued up, and even more unknown!

Can’t find my Boo arc fansubs but here’s a full run of Flame of Recca. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s a fresh Saturday night, and not even a lingering flu will keep us from streaming (or at least attempting to, anyway). Come hang and chat! ⏰ 8:00 pm-ish eastern (now!) 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 The usual @kanzenshuu.com friends & family 🎮 Mario Kart World(?) 📍 www.grabyournearest.com (aka twitch.tv/vegettoex)

Stream highlights from... *checks notes*... two weeks ago! We've got some scary grabbing of nearests, Mike learns a lot about Sonic characters, and Doug accidentally cringes in his mouth. Back at it tonight, flu be damned, around 8pm-ish eastern for more of this! 👇 📽️ www.twitch.tv/videos/29087...

Still dealing with brain fog flu mind. Shoulda been Region 1 vs 2 for DVDs, not A vs B… but I’m probably the only one who cares/notices.

Do I have any Yu-Gi-Oh sicko followers or friends of friends that have the 1996 No 51 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump? Looking to independently confirm the the No. 52 issue release date (which it promotes inside) with the final Adventure of Dai chapter, but the usual author comment page doesn't note it?

The debut of a "new" TV series is really bringing back out all the folks who seem unable to process the extremely generous words "I didn't care for this, but this isn't for me, I understand this isn't for me, and it's OK if you either do or do not like it."

Finally getting to the Final Fantasy Resonance demo. Might have played early Brave Exvius(?)… but no real recollection. Anyway, yeah, this game rules??? Thrown off by a FF (as opposed to DQ) town being named Kol, & the font totally stinks like usual, but yeah I’m immediately all in. Akio Otsuka!

Fresh in and spinning this afternoon: Taking Back Sunday's 20th anniversary (?!) pressing of "Louder Now"

Pass it along - please let us see your pfp in it's full glory I tried to draw myself in the style of Akira Toriyama for the podcast I did with @mangamavericks.bsky.social (and @vegettoex.bsky.social) about the English release of Akira Toriyama's Manga Theater. Still a huge honor!

Does anyone have strong feelings and recommendations about the turn button assignments in Mega Man Legends?

Volume 3 of our space Q&A podcast is coming! We'll be grilling @thespaceabove.us on DBZ episodes 39+40 (space orphans + Vegeta returns to Freeza Planet No. 79), but as usual we'll take all your DB + space questions! Here's what we talked about the last two times. Get your new questions in by Monday!

Heeeeere we go! We are live! Come hang out and join the chat during the live podcast stream. 👇 📽️ twitch.tv/vegettoex

Let’s chat! We’re gonna do a live stream catch-all podcast this evening at 7:30pm-ish eastern — a bit of Beerus chat, a bit of site work chat, and whatever else you wanna hear! See you in about two-ish hours from this skeet over at 👇 twitch.tv/vegettoex (Watch last night’s VOD in the meantime!)

Buckle up, because your one and only Saturday night stream is back. Come hang out in the chat. This is the place to be. ⏰ 8:00 pm-ish eastern (now!) 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 The usual @kanzenshuu.com friends & family 🎮 Mario Kart World 📍 www.grabyournearest.com (aka twitch.tv/vegettoex)

Catching up on stream highlights! We're a little on-one/off-one for weekends, so this is from two weeks ago. There's... a lot going on here as usual, with grabbing of nearests and more! 🎥 www.twitch.tv/videos/28965... We're back on for streaming tonight (8pm-ish eastern) so see ya' there for chat!

Every single day is an exercise of being hit in the face with something you'd be really excited about, only to find it's just slop programming and translation. Today it's the PS1 port of Dragon Quest IV. Cool cool cool.

whoops

Left Kart half-edited, so spending some valuable Friday night time going through it. In case anyone is super curious and ever needs our streams absolutely distilled down to a single clip to truly understand what we're about, this is pretty much it.

I was gathering all the materials for this, including my original off-screen recording... when I realized I had actually written this whole goddamn thing before! Got rid of Twitter embeds, tossed in a full capture of the title card, and here it is as part of this article series (where it fits well).

Spinning this afternoon: Armor For Sleep’s "There Is No Memory"… …which came out almost a year ago?! Feels like yesterday.

Overdue maintenance thought/reminder to self: I really need to change the "CD Singles" page of the Music Database to just be "Singles" and set up a bunch of redirects.

ICYMI last week: quick peek at my NGN DBZ episodes 1-5 (well, more like half of 1 and 3-5 lol) tape, and in particular reviewing some of the cool terminology/translation choices back there pre-FUNimation. Sharing old stuff on the site every Friday! Text! Often with pictures! On the internet! Free!

Fresh in and spinning this afternoon: The Spill Canvas - "No Really, I'm Fine" from 2007 The "milky clear galaxy" pressing really blends in nice with this Street Fighter 6 slipmat

Friday comes for us all yet again, which means it's time to take a trip to the past! This time around, we dive into a VERY brief history of Nippon Golden Network's DB & DBZ broadcast, along with a small selection of screenshots checking out various terminology! 🔗 www.kanzenshuu.com/2026/10/02/f...

Fresh in and spinning this afternoon: Alice In Chains - Unplugged

Me, a relatively smart person: I want to remap the buttons for Master System in Retroarch. Also me: Well I guess I’m just never playing this game here.

Fresh in and spinning this afternoon: The Movielife - "Forty Hour Train Back to Penn" from 2003

If anyone installed this and was having the game hang on a black screen during the opening cutscene, the patch file I generated was messed up somehow, and I've uploaded a correct version I've verified is working

archive.org/details/drag... I made an undub mod for the original Dragon Ball Z Budokai on PS2, which is now out! Comes in both altered translation and vanilla text variants.

As I close in on the end of Dragon Quest II, & particularly having played a portable spinoff right before this (as well as other remakes the last couple years), Alefgard is becoming a lot like Kamurocho in my mind. Perhaps it is Kamurocho that is like Alefgard. No, I will not elaborate any further.

Saturday is here! Let’s stream it up for a while. Come hang out in the chat. This is The Content. ⏰ 8:00 pm-ish eastern (now!) 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 The usual @kanzenshuu.com friends & family 🎮 Mario Kart World 📍 www.grabyournearest.com (aka twitch.tv/vegettoex)

Highlights from last week's stream! We had a guest in-house, found a hidden Sonic, discovered terrible wardrobe secrets, and truly just learned a whole lot about each other. Eventually Doug showed up, too. Back at it per usual tonight! 🎥 www.twitch.tv/videos/28836...

It's been three months since I resurrected the "From the Past Friday" weekly article series... and I'm taking a week off! Out of my mind busy & just didn't get anything together in time. But if you wanna read something, here's one project I went nuts on. SOURCES! www.kanzenshuu.com/wiki/Y%C5%AB...

I somehow don’t remember the Tuskateer from prior games but I love him. Such confidence. Such strength. Such doofus.
