In my naive little mind, i'd like to think that small market/underdog teams need to be extra diligent in training camp. But is it really just that, naivety, and the truth is that those teams actually have to offer more leeway & personal responsibility to further tie their standouts to the franchise?

I understand that a big part you really just have to pick up in actual competition tho, that's fair. Another thought on the more negative spectrum, i'm fine, guys, i'm fine... you win some, you lose some drafting, but kinda sad they did not develope 1-2 system guys for the deep bench in the process.
This is such a reasonable deal, gotta respect the agent, too. My biggest fear for the upcoming season is, well... they all have to eat offensively. DP, a rook of this caliber, you gotta set him up for potential ROTY, that is just how the cookie crumbles. Laurie deserves a big year.
Just in: Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George has agreed on a five-year, $157.5 million rookie-scale contract extension with the franchise, sources tell me and @BannedMacMahon.

Would have been negligent to not use the opportunity of extending the Kessler trade. It's less about the player, more about having a little risk-free 1+1 transfer volume. Which we're lacking. This really hurt (Danny) Ainge on two occasions in the past with the Cs.
The Utah Jazz and Josh Okogie have agreed to a two-year, $12 million deal, including a team option for the second year, league sources told HoopsHype. Okogie is a noted defender who shot 38.5% from 3-point range last season. ESPN first on the deal. HoopsHype first on team option.
So this apparently turned out not to be true... i really don't care if there's a german guy om the Jazz honestly, that's not it, but we really could benefit from exactly this player profile. Hope the FO is looking into this.
Serbian news outlets are reporting that Isaac Bonga, Germany's Eurobasket Finals MVP, has recieved several offers from NBA teams. Has a buyout clause which he apparently cannot activate *right now*, so buyout negotiations with Partizan Belgrad would be needed.
Kinda sad tho that so many of the international prospects leave home for the NIL money instead of getting minutes in the domestic leagues against professionals. Good for them obv (no sarcasm), elsewhere the sport just does not generate the money. Might lead to more streamlined skillsets?
Only college basketball players in the Top 20 of the draft. First time that has happened since 1994!
Remember when the NBA wanted dibs on 2k eSport? Teams bought & branded, live draft, gamers moved into franchise facilities, team socials posted backstage footage & interviews, SBNation BREAKING Jazz trade RizzyJ59 for BasedBobo... ... and then it was the lamest shit ever, literally unwatchable? ๐คฃ
