More SLDF glamour shots. Having been reformed both in the 3060s and now the 3150s, the list of machines to wear the olive drab of the Star League has grown considerably over time. #battletech #mechwarrior #ttrpg #minipainting #miniatures

Today's #mechtober is Warrior House Dài Dá Chì. Recently, Xiào-Zhǎng Dietrich Löwe's 1st Battalion held off Alaric Ward's Golden Keshik at Ramey's Point, sacrificing themselves and battering the Wolves to allow DDC and the 3rd and 4th Chargers to escape. #battletech #mechwarrior #ttrpg #miniatures

UI/UX critique. All systems today assume I want to see only a single unit of info (Fahrenheit or Celcius, inches or cm) There is no reason you cannot just give me the most common conversion in the same view. Why make me pick F or C. Just give me both.

#Mechtober day 8 is Wolfs Dragoons. While the story suggests Clan Wolf manipulated them on Terra, they really payed the piper for abandoning the Kell Hounds and Wolf-in-Exile to Malvina Hazen. Now they are on a quest to rebuild, but to what end..? #battletech #mechwarrior #minipainting #miniatures

I really do think you can just dive into current ilClan fiction if you're starting BattleTech. You do not need a primer on the clans, you do not need to experience the full 3028-3060s saga. This is science fiction. Diving into weird worldbuilding headfirst comes with the territory!

The Long Road is in my top 2 BattleTech novels for new or old fans. Elie and Aleska are great characters, go read about them and the beginnings of the rebirth of the Star League! #battletech #mechwarrior

For #mechtober Well, my free fiction is available RIGHT NOW, featuring Northwind Highlanders in the Gothic universe! Also out is Long Road, featuring former Highlanders making their way downtown, walkin' fast, faces pass, and they're homebound. (I kid, but this is kinda a semi-accurate description?🤪

Its Northwind Highlander day for #mechtober so heres my early Dark Age force, the Northwind Fusiliers. Fighting in defence of the Republic of the Sphere as house-loyal renegade factions vye for power amidst the chaos. #battletech #mechwarrior #ttrog #minipainting #miniatures

I've had a hard time with a scheme or even lore for "my own guys" in BattleTech. Heres some examples of attempts. What would you pick? Examples: Highlander - mecha anime Charger - punk pirate Stalker - smooth starfield Clint - black vulture #battletech #mechwarrior #ttrpg #minipainting #miniatures

Every news site is just referring to the Gulf of Mexico as "the gulf" now because they're all f*cking terrified to be at the end of an illegal act of retaliation from the senile in chief

Waylan was provided a salvaged Jade Falcon Hunchback IIC as a "going away present." Perhaps too naive to get the message, and drawn to its sheer overgunned recklessness, he refused to part with the 'Mech thereafter despite its near universal reputation as a deathtrap.

⚧ Valeria Versus ☄
@versusrev.bsky.social

Waylan insists on the callsign "Wolf-Wolf", and even refers to himself as such in the third person, because "I've got two wolves inside me, and two big guns." And then flex his biceps. He has tried this on several women, including Evie, Aleska, and Brauer, with no success. He still tries.

Waylan was a mid-grade caste technician in the ilClan whos sense of adventure and inescapable self-confidence led him to sign up for the SLDF's Chicago division following its formation. Unserious and error-prone, Clan Wolf's warriors were all too happy to make him a problem for the fledgling corp.

I sometimes hear reactionaries say you couldn't make Mel Brooks films today because they'd be too offensive towards woke liberals. I find this amazing, since I think if you made Mel Brooks movies today the right would scream and cry about how Brooks is forcing anti-racism and diversity into movies.

Listening to this album a LOT this weekend. It reminds me a lot of Wobbler or early Yes at times, but with crazier time signatures and some BIG rock moments.

We’re thrilled to continue our collaboration with extraordinary Mexico City-based multi-instrumentalist & composer Nostalghia! First is newest album Departure, a strange, beautiful record of leaving & mourning, weaving together avant-garde black metal, jazz, classical instrumentation, & folk color.

Today, Oakland's Exuvia release their debut album Trans Vengeance Metal. A vessel for processing collective trauma, expressing rage, & reclaiming autonomy, the album is serpentine journey of despair & resilience through blackened death metal & progressive crust.

Imagine just like A little 2 foot tall kobold Smoking a cigarette in a dark piano bar And his little voice like Tom Waits just breathed in a balloon full of helium. And then he has to start frantically running back and forth on the piano bench to play what is otherwise a very downtempo relaxed song

You may have heard that beef is so expensive because of "insufficient supply to meet demand" But supply is at an all time high, consumer demand is just overwhelming. People are eating more meat more often and its bad for your health and the environment. This is addiction. We must cut back.
