Video Game Preservation Museum

Although we finished our move last week, we have weeks if not months of work ahead, unpacking, documenting each random item VGPM has preserved.

Hey everyone we're at 54 days left to go in an attempt to save the SEGA lot. So far your support has raised £2,895.96 Let's keep it going, and get this done! In an effort to make things easier to donate, we've added more donation platforms.

Good morning! GoodHub have just approved a dedicated fundraising page for the SEGA lot, we're calling this Project AGES. The total has been adjusted to reflect bank fees/costs with transactions, so the price listed isn't the amount needed to be raised.

The ObscureGamers discord has a dedicated channel setup for questions/issues on top. We understand not everyone is able to donate, which is why we're asking for support from the community to share/like this post on all social media platforms and group chats.

On top, Good Hub allows VGPM to claim Gift Aid on any UK tax payer donations which enables us to get extra donations at zero cost to us. This is why we have chosen their platform over Ko-Fi/PayPal.

Update time, the seller has labeled.. 241 carts so far and there is around 60 left to go. There is 11 confirmed carts of Rythem Thief, but not sure if the cancelled DS port or a mix of both DS/3DS. The picture below is just a handful they have labeled so far.

It's been a rather long week, I came down with a bug last Sunday and have only just semi revived. Last weekend we managed to collect a couple of random carts from the seller, along with an Alienware PC that was faulty and a couple SSD's used by SEGA.

Thank you again to everyone who has supported/shared this once in a lifetime chance to preserve video game history.

Sadly, SEGA played hammer time with one and drilled the caddy ports, and it'll cost money to attempt recovery, another MSATA doesn't work in any caddy, and the Alienware SSD was failing too.

The seller has agreed a £5000 down payment will secure all carts from sale to anyone else. We have setup a fundraiser via ObscureGamers ko-fi.com/obscuregamer... please check the OG Discord for more updates.

To save confusion, the £5000 deposit it to take the carts of the market and not the full cost, this is just step 1. And to enable us to fund raise the rest, for release via @HiddenPalaceOrg
