The United States is actually one of the least generous nations when it comes to accepting refugees, despite its wealth.
Just three countries in East Africa—Uganda, Kenya, and Ethiopia—host more than 2.8 million refugees, which is seven times more than the United States does, despite having an average GDP per capita sixty times lower.
