Last thing I'm going to say on the matter because beyond defending my friend I have too many other things going in my life to fixate on this: Ren has been nothing but kind to the community, has a very solid rep among other artists, and generally keeps to themself.

Telling mods about an abrasive person with a questionable history who downplays her actions, rarely and only selectively take accountability, and deliberately flips the script to villainize the person rightfully and responsibly calling attention to her toxic behavior is not a "whisper campaign".

I genuinely empathize with her because I know it's related to mental health struggles, and I think people should remain empathetic as well, but I also not NOT going to tolerate someone just saying that bullshit about Ren for speaking up in a reasonable manner. She needs to get help, sincerely.

*also [am] not going to tolerate anyway, that's it, no more. Friends can ask me privately for my opinion on smaller details or to clarify, but I'm done involving myself. I will only ever step in like this to defend a friend's name, so hopefully this will remain exceedingly rare.

To escalate "Reasonable concern that may or may not have the full picture" into "Deliberately trying to isolate and kill people" is so vile and manipulative that I have no other words to describe it.

To me, it demonstrates that Corro has NOT put in enough effort to change her poor conflict management skills, and that she remains incredibly wrathful and vindictive in retaliation to perceived slights.

If you want to believe that Ren's claims are inaccurate, the least charitable read one should give then is only that Ren has a misunderstanding on how much Corro has grown and moved on. Ren isn't trying to smear Corro, just look out for their community, and even then that's the *least* charitable.

Corro, on the other hand, is blowing this so out of proportion that she is deliberately making efforts to aggressively smear Ren as a serial harasser/abuser and claim that they make concerted, secret efforts to drive *multiple* artists out of the community, which can't be corroborated.

If you want to take Corro's word for it that they're actively, maliciously targeting her, then there's nothing I can say to convince you otherwise, but to me, even with the discord mod screenshot, Ren's perception of Corro is grounded and they have valid reasons to be cautious of her.

Hey, I don't usually like to comment on public shit going on like this but this is aggravating me immensely to witness. I'll keep it brief and as polite as possible. I need people to recognize that is is NOT normal behavior. Retaliation to *perceived* harassment with targeted harassment is not okay.

This doesn't erase the fact that Corro has dealt with serious shit in her life, but to be perfectly honest, I find it sickening that she is using her other instances of suffering to garner sympathy in this moment conjunction with this unrelated, reasonable desire to not associate with her.

People who sincerely want to heal, resolve issues, and move on don't go on 24 hour targeted tirades against single individuals and she needs to get a grip and realize that this is NOT normal, NOT helping how people perceive her, and ren doesn't deserve any of this shit.

Please do no harass her, I implore only people who consider her a close friend to attempt to talk her down from this, but otherwise this is not your place. I am saying this only to defend ren's name, who has otherwise only expressed completely reasonable caution at Corro's past and current behavior.

Truth of the matter is, sometimes people don't like you, and you need to make peace with that instead of turning them into a supervillain in your mind. Ren is not trying to ruin Corro's life, ren just wants to keep the communities she participates in safe from aggressive and vindictive people.

This is not fucking cool. Ren has no obligation to comment and she's a fucking saint for holding her tongue (and handled it maturely by NOT making it public, as much as corro seems to *want* a callout) but I'm going to stand up for my friend as politely as possible.

I don't doubt Corro is going through a lot but it needs to be said, mental health can explain someone's behavior but it doesn't excuse it. She treats people poorly then when they are fed up with her she twists that abandonment into sincere evil against her and it's the exact reason people back off.

Frankly her vindictive scorched earth episode over the last 24 hours doing nothing but villainize ren with quite literal full admittance that the end goal is to smear someone's name is not fucking normal, and proof enough as to why ren was wary of her in the first place!
