These ginger cuties are Punch & Pickles, two of our newest rescue kittens. Currently, we are drowning in kittens again and we’ve completely run out of foster spots. Not to mention, finding adoptive homes is becoming more challenging by the day. 💔 #OrangeKitten #RescueKitten #CatsOfBluesky

We didn't order oat milk today, but we got a surprise delivery anyway! 📦 This cute little kitten was brought to us in this box after being found all alone and terrified at the edge of the rice fields. Now we need to find a forever home for her! #RescueKitten #CatsOfBluesky #CatShelter #CatLover

Do you know that feeling when you should exercise, but you’re too lazy? 😴 Eli gets it. To him, the cat wheel is strictly meant for long, cozy naps! When Eli arrived, he had a severely injured tail that required amputation. Today, he’s fully healed, thriving, and turned into a chunky cuddler.

Surprisingly, Eli still doesn’t have a sponsor. Help us care for sweet Eli by becoming his sponsor today: vncw.org/support #RescueCat #CatsOfBluesky #CatShelter #CatLover

Happy 9th Birthday, Sideways! 🎉 Telling our black cats apart is a challenge, especially for new volunteers. But Sideways makes life a little easier for everyone! With his slightly tilted head and one reddish eye, he is truly one of a kind and always recognizable. #RescueCat #CatsOfBluesky

Hands up, here comes Juju! 🐾 This sweet little girl is another kitten who was just left with us and has spent the last few weeks in wonderful foster care. Juju is now 3 months old and still tiny for her age. Everyone loves her. She is so fun and confident. ❤️ #RescueKitten #CatsOfBluesky #CatShelter

Meet our newest rescues, Thelma & Louise! 🐾 They were found abandoned by the roadside, with little ginger Louise suffering from wounds on her legs. Thanks to intensive care, both are recovering very well! 🧡 #RescueKitten #CatsOfBluesky #CatShelter

Meet beautiful Cindy! She was found on the street with paralyzed back legs, but after weeks of clinic care, she fully recovered and now zooms around like a whirlwind! At 4 months old, she’s affectionate, playful, hilarious, and ready for her forever family. ❤️ #RescueCat #CatsOfBluesky #CatShelter

What is going on here? We had to take a little Bluesky break as we are crazy busy with rescue cases. But ~18 days ago we suddenly gained 11,000 new followers! Amazing, but we have no idea why. Help us solve this mystery - where are you all coming from?

Do all our rescue cats trust us? 🐾 Exposing their bellies is the ultimate sign of feeling safe. Seeing former street cats sleep so deeply and relaxed makes all our hard work worth it. ❤️ Who is your favorite belly sleeper in this video? #RescueCat #CatsOfBluesky #CatShelter #CatLover

Trooper suffered brain damage after being hit by a car as a kitten, making us avoid surgery for years. But when his instincts kicked in, he finally got neutered. Surgery went great and he's doing amazing! To help us care for special cases like Trooper, please share or support us: vncw.org/support

Tourists dropped off kittens at our gate AGAIN, leaving us with no choice. This happens far too often and puts us in an impossible situation. We're beyond capacity with 100+ cats and no budget or space for intakes. If you'd like to help us care for these new arrivals, please share or donate! ❤️

Time flies, and it was time for annual rabies boosters at our #CatShelter! As usual, our residents were less than thrilled. 😉 Want to see more behind-the-scenes photos from our vaccination day? Check out our Patreon: patreon.com/VietnamCatWelfare/posts/big-round-of-166816051

It’s kitten season again and our #CatShelter is overflowing! 🐾 Along with several young adult cats, we took in a whole batch of new kittens this week. Our team is working around the clock to care for them. If you'd like to support our rescue work, please share or donate: vncw.org/support

Mr. Creeper seems a bit confused about why we have another "sliding cat" in the shelter now - so much so that he's sticking his tongue out at us! 😜 Perfect timing for #TongueOutTuesday though! #RescueCat #CatsOfBluesky

Say hello to Nugget, our newest rescue! 🧡 He broke his spine in a balcony fall and lost mobility in his back legs. His owner wanted to give up on him, but Nugget is pain-free, super playful, and full of spirit. We're giving this sweet boy the chance he deserves! 🐾 #RescueKitten #CatsOfBluesky

This is 390 of the famous "Saigon 400", the last cat we brought to Hoi An still looking for a home! She survived Saigon, lost her babies, and barely made it through emergency surgery. She is now steadily recovering, learning to love cuddles, and her purr gets louder every day. 🧡

The plan was to take a nice picture of Beeps (the ginger and white cat in the background), but Picnic clearly had a different idea of what a great cat photo should look like! 📸😹 #CatPhotography #RescueCats #CatShelter #CatsOfBluesky

Monkey is such an adorable little girl, yet she still doesn't have a sponsor! Please check out our sponsorship program on our website. It is one of the most vital pillars supporting our #CatShelter and a wonderful way to connect with and care for an individual #RescueCat: vncw.org/sponsor

It’s so adorable how dramatic the kitties get right before mealtime! You'd think they haven't eaten in days, even though there’s always enough to go around. 😸 If you’d like to help us keep our 100+ #RescueCats well-fed, check out the support options on our website: vncw.org/support

Talk about striking a pose! Triskie may only have three legs, but he’s mastered the art of relaxation like no other. A level of pure serenity that honestly makes you a little envious. 😴 #Caturday #RescueCat #CatsOfBluesky #CatShelter #Tuxedo

Big Butt always has something to say! But don't be fooled by how this big boy looks. As soon as he opens his mouth, out comes the squeakiest meow you have ever heard. 😻 Zero correlation between how he looks and how he sounds! 😉 #TabbyCat #RescueCat #CatsOfBluesky #CatShelter

Ash showing off his ultimate bad boy face! 😎 To be honest, he can be quite naughty - mischief is his specialty. But on the other hand, he can also be the sweetest boy who loves a good cuddle. If you are into bad boys, Ash is still looking for a sponsor: vncw.org/sponsor #BlackCat #CatsOfBluesky

There is definitely one thing we can't complain about: a lack of orange cats! We currently have exactly 19 of them. 🧡 Jungle really struck a pose here in the foreground, while Addy watches the scene curiously from behind. #OrangeCat #RescueCat #CatsOfBluesky #CatShelter

Happy Birthday, Piglet! 🎂🎉 It’s hard to believe this tiny girl is turning 12 years old today! If you want to wish her a happy birthday, you’ll have to get in line - Ava was here first and is already showering her with sweet head rubs! ❤️ #RescueCats #CatShelter #CatsOfBluesky

Are you ready for some amazing before-and-after shots? Have a look at how beautiful our Juliet is now compared to when she first arrived at our shelter. #AdoptDontShop #RescueCat #Animalwelfare #CatsOfBluesky

Juliet was already tied up in a sack on the back of a thief's motorbike, on her way to a slaughterhouse. A kind local rescued her just in time and brought her to us. It is incredible how stunning this brave meat trade survivor turned out to be!

We are happy! Two of the "Saigon 400" survivors we brought back to Hoi An found a beautiful forever home today! A nice Vietnamese lady adopted them to give them a wonderful life after all the horror they went through. Good luck 154 (tabby boy) and 329 (black girl) – you both deserve it so much!

The last few weeks have been really hard for us, especially with the massive animal welfare crisis that took place in Saigon. We are behind on updates here, as Bluesky wasn't the ideal platform for the type of content we needed to share during the peak of the crisis (short stories or long texts) .
