I got a backup for my favourite old clunky midi controller! They stopped making these about ten years ago and I finally found one sold by some Goodwill at the other side of the world. (knobs are in wash because their plastic gets slimy when aging)

I get some feedback at live VJ gigs but ironically it’s quite invisible job. Views and comments are often low on videos. Do people get what I do? Or is it bad or cryngy? Same old? Or am I obnoxious when I promote? Or do I not promote enough? I do love doing it, but reception is sometimes a mystery.

The video is a silly mess, build from the same materials as the live visuals were. The weird shapes are because material was for 5 led screens at the Arena Stage. (And they were awesome!) The black borders because Youtube would otherwise not show the video properly on lower resolutions.

Seeing how others live VJ inside/outside the fandom, I get my approach may be unconventional. For some, it’s just a tech job to support the DJ (and that it also is!), but I love when it’s a video performance that makes people stop and stare. ✨ (Yes, EF29 video is still coming, hopefully next week!)
