we don't let the characters in the game interact with the sega logo anymore. this is what we need to do to start healing again

There aren't nearly enough artists that actually draw trans women but every time they start to get any popularity it seems like things trend toward hyper large disembodied dicks and it kind of sucks.

I don’t think trans people being transmisogynistic is a psyop, actually. I think we do ourselves a disservice by pretending it is. I think the cold hard truth is that a lot of our “siblings” do have a genuine deep-seated hatred of us, and ignoring that is yet another way of coddling them.

Hot take: The uptick in trans people calling trans women “male socialized” is not a psyop from an outside agitator, it’s the end result of constantly treating certain trans people with kid gloves and never calling them out on their shitty behavior even as it gets louder and more cruel.

My dad's idea of joking is basically always racism, misogyny, transphobia, and/or homophobia and when I point it out he's like "well I guess I just have a fucked up bad sense of humor..." But then he just takes every single joke I tell seriously and yeah maybe you do have a bad sense of humor.

I'll never forget looking into this song, clearly about peter pan, and the song meaning consensus being yes, it is peter pan, but look, all these lyrics could be taken to be about sex and knocking someone up. It haunts me.

Every time anything transphobic happens it's all "here's how this affects cis women too" and "did these bigots even consider how this would work for trans men" and the answer to the latter is always no because bigots are mostly thinking about transfems.

ultimately it's just "people actively pursue concessions for men while continuing to push trans women to the wayside and getting mad at us if we dare point it out" anyway.

femboy/trap are just transfem with the serial numbers scraped off, but we'd sooner give them to men and make them progressive than acknowledge or change transmisogyny.

i'm largely anti-femboy and trap in basically any capacity, which is part of why i don't like ralsei, and feel like even an innocent take on the type of character just displays an ignorance of a history of transmisogyny

sometimes it feels like things like this are people trying to push forward a post-transmisogyny world without addressing the transmisogyny first. we skipped to "why can't men be feminine too" without addressing that trans women are still the most maligned class.

i don't feel that these cancel one another out, especially since the "why can't men be feminine too" largely comes from a place of transmisogyny in the first place. it often feels like we try to claim a radical queer place for men while allowing trans women to continue to suffer.

boys can absolutely be feminine sure but for every "why can't boys be feminine" there's a thousand unacknowledged transmisogynys and i hate that everyone just seems to prefer not to think about it.

ralsei discourse is basically always split between dolls who remember, dolls who just like the idea of another trans character, and people playing "why can't you just be a feminine man!" either with the transmisogyny baked in, or ignorant of the transmisogyny baked in

i don't really care for the archetype in japanese media and i'm frankly less forgiving of it from a western creator, and i just wholly deny that men of any stripe are allowed to reclaim the terms especially. ESPECIALLY because it seems like most people who do have 0 idea of the history.

transmascs love to use it as like a quirky chungus identity while absolutely ignorant of any transmisogyny involved, and dolls who transitioned later just don't even seem aware of it, so in like a decade it's just been completely sanitized and taken from trans women wholesale and idk

"futanari" to a similar extent. it was before as widespread of a concept of being intersex as a real thing, people were largely using it to refer to an idealised whitewashed trans woman with plausible deniability

anyway, femboy and trap simply have the transmisogyny baked in, and it just feels like the modern usage decoupled it from that without acknowledging it, and handed it to men while going "why NOT just be a feminine man!!!!" unironically with full chest

as someone who started transitioning during gamergate and was thoroughly entrenched in 4chan culture, i can very clearly remember when femboy and trap very much carried a "why not be a feminine man" implication, and was frequently used by self-hating trans women before they figured it out

At first it was just that I don't like things released episodically so I was going to wait for it to be done, but every single time a new chapter comes out I know everything about it within a day because the fandom cannot keep anything to themselves and at this point why even bother
