#SummerOfStories I think False Knight has very similar vibes to A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. It deals a lot with honor, the question of what makes a true knight, and has some dark moments interspersed with lighthearted joy.

#SummerOfStories I love a well placed em dash. I use them judiciously alongside commas and semicolons. Hell, I’ll even throw in a parenthetical if I’m feeling spicy.

#SummerOfWriting I’m an assless-chapser in the sense that I go in with a plan and then the brain worms take over and everything gets thrown to the wind. I’ve yet to write a story that goes the same way as my initial plan.

#SummerOfStories I find the very first draft to be the most difficult. I have all the ideas in my head but then trying to actual form that into coherent sentences is a grueling process. BUT once I finally get the most basic of words on the page I can fly through editing them in enjoyable words.

#SummerOfStories I think my prose is fairly straight forward most of the time because I’m a pretty literal reader so I want my prose to reflect that. I like rich descriptions but I don’t like to get too flowery or ‘purple’ with it. I DO like using metaphors though, perhaps too much at times.
