Published quarterly, the vEM Community Initiative newsletter is a great platform to share ideas and connect with a wider audience. Get in touch if you’d like to submit a Tech Bite.

The list highlights companies and societies providing imaging equipment, sample preparation tools and reagents, data storage and analysis solutions, and professional networks.

This community-informed list is independent of sponsorship, and inclusion does not imply endorsement by the volumeEM Community Initiative. If your organization supports the volume EM field and isn’t yet represented, we warmly invite you to get in touch and connect with us.

This short animated video offers a clear, visual introduction to volume electron microscopy (vEM), showing how ultra-thin serial planes of cells are imaged at the nanoscale with electrons and then computationally assembled into detailed 3D views.

The result? Stunning insights into cell structures such as nuclei, mitochondria are possible, as well helping us better understand many important diseases.
