I made a few improvements to VQV. Nothing special. I fixed what was broken and also added the total number of users and the number of unique blocked users to the home page. 43.61% of Bluesky users have already been blocked by someone. 🤦🏻‍♂️

So… what’s the point of listing my interests if Explore just ignores them? 🤦🏻‍♂️

Had some free time this week and finished the beta of Blueshout 🎧 It reads posts from people you follow on Bluesky, so you can listen while driving, running, or working — no scrolling, no reading. Want to test it? Send me a DM.

The public block lists on Bluesky are one of the worst ideas ever introduced. Whoever created and keeps maintaining them is just fueling the exodus of users who are tired of the platform’s hostility. It’s driving people away, not keeping them safe.

It’s utopian to celebrate 40 million registered users while ignoring the thousands who’ve quietly stopped using Bluesky. Just look at the daily post volume — the numbers tell a very different story.

Guess I’ll have to add a “Top Disliked” section on VQV now. 😅🤦🏻‍♂️ I was just quietly minding my own business, letting the site run automatically — not bothering anyone. Thanks for the amazing motivation, Bluesky team. Really appreciate it. 😉 🤦🏻‍♂️

“As users ‘dislike’ posts, the system will learn what content they want less of.” Not always. I might dislike how something was written, not the topic itself. I don’t want to live in a bubble where every post agrees with me—different views make social media worth it.

I missed the meeting where it was discussed that Dislike is a priority at Bsky. Could someone provide an update on that meeting and also explain why it's a good idea? 😳😬 techcrunch.com/2025/10/31/b...

We already live in an environment where people block you for stepping slightly out of line—or even mentioning “AI.” The best way to avoid content is to unfollow or block. Using dislikes to “teach” the system feels redundant. I’d rather support creators, not punish them.

🌤️✨ On 04/20/23 — just 9 days after I joined Bluesky — I dropped the word Skymates to describe fellow users. Probably didn’t invent it, but I definitely used it a lot in my posts 😁 Not followers. Not mutuals. Skymates. Still proud of that little spark. #Bluesky #Skymates #OriginStory

Have a good night Skymates. Tomorrow we start a new journey through this beautiful blue sky. 😴 AI

Marketing tip for Bluesky: Announce that at 50M users, the gates close. After that, it’s invite-only. Watch the panic rise, the sign-ups spike, and the daily invite hunt begin. It’ll be like Black Friday but with invites code. Follow me for more spicy strategies. #BlueskyRush 😎

Test without logs. Only audio from users you follow, list or trending. #blueshout #bluesky

🎧 Blueshout lets you listen to the latest posts from people you follow on Bluesky—perfect for staying updated while running, driving, or at the gym. No scrolling, just streaming. It’s for news junkies, busy bees, and anyone who wants to stay in the loop while on the move. Coming soon! #Blueshout

I could code a bot to post here every minute. But it wouldn’t taste like bourbon—it’d taste like Red Bull and bad Wi-Fi. 😂🥃

When Bsky had 30k users, one of my posts pulled 12+ likes. Now with 40M users, 10 posts can’t scrape 10 likes. Either I’ve forgotten how to post… or I’ve officially unlocked irrelevance mode. 😂🤦🏻‍♂️ #bourbonTalks 🥃

It’s been a while since I practiced my true craft: sipping bourbon, spinning old tunes, and dropping random messages into the void. Some chase badges. I just chase bourbon, vinyl, and nonsense posts.

Sometimes a 10-minute nap with your feet on the desk hits harder than 6 hours drooling on a pillow. Proof that quality > quantity… and maybe that we all secretly want to be CEOs of sleeping.

One of Bluesky’s best ideas was domain verification. Then they created the Bluesky Badge. Now new users get it overnight, while those who backed Bsky when it had only 10k users are ignored. Does the badge matter? No. The point: who’s valued—pioneers or newcomers?

Almost 40 million. A lot has changed at Bsky. I miss the good old days, when we had only 30,000 users. The only way is to fill my glass and keep reminiscing about the good times. 🥃🦋

I miss those nights when I’d step away from coding, pour myself a bourbon, and spin up AI images inspired by songs my followers requested. Every round brought me 10 fresh blocks. Simpler times, better vibes.

I searched for news about Bluesky on Google, and at the top of the page, a news item appears that was supposedly published 5 hours ago. When I opened the article, it was published 7 months ago. Sponsored result? 🤦🏻‍♂️

In addition to listening, you can also view the logs. You can listen to who you follow, choose a list, or choose a trending. #Blueshout

An old project I was working on for Bluesky. Listen to Bsky updates while driving, running, or at the gym. #Blueshout
