As San Jose gets their speed camera program started, many other CA cities want in too. Walk SF has started the groundwork to pass a new state law to allow SF to expand and make its speed camera program permanent, plus let other cities harness this lifesaving technology.

We love Sunset Dunes, and we know you do too! Join us this ✨Thursday, October 22✨ to talk to voters at the Mission Farmer's Market about saving our coastal park and voting no on measure G! RSVP: luma.com/jfhfaobl

🗳️ Election Day is November 3! To vote for a more walkable, pedestrian-first San Francisco, join Walk SF in voting: ✅ YES on H and RTM to prevent devastating cuts to transit ❌ NO on G to save our coastal park and promenade

New data shows that the speed camera pilot has proven a powerful tool in addressing severe & fatal crashes. Take ONE minute to email City leaders asking them to pursue state legislation NOW allowing SF to expand and make permanent our lifesaving speed camera program: walksf.org/expandspeedc...

A walkable SF depends on frequent, reliable public transit. That’s why we need to vote YES on Measures H & RTM! If we don’t pass both measures on Nov. 3, transit service will be gutted. We CAN’T let this happen. Being able to get around on foot + transit = essential for SF.

So spread the word to vote YES on H & RTM! Tag us or send us a video of what transit lines you walk to for our next compilation!

We are looking toward new state legislation that would allow more lifesaving speed cameras in SF, but we want to know: how much does a speed camera affect a driver’s behavior beyond *right* at the camera location? Join us for a speed survey on Fulton Street on Oct. 17: walksf.org/fultonspeedsurvey

Walk SF is actively researching solutions that will make the biggest difference for safety with micromobility devices (e-scooters, e-bikes, e-motos/mopeds) and we want to hear from YOU. Take our 5-minute survey to share what you're experiencing as a pedestrian: walksf.org/PedestrianSurvey

Good news: Governor Newsom signed SB 1167! Authored by Senator Catherine Blakespear and co-sponsored by CalBike, the new law draws a clear line between legal e-bikes and high-powered electric devices too often marketed as e-bikes.

🚨 If we don’t pass measures H & RTM this fall, what will happen to traffic, climate, affordability, and accessibility in SF & the Bay will be a nightmare. 📈 SPUR's ‘Bumper to Bumper’ crunches the #s on this nightmare in a new report: spur.org/bumpertobumper

🚨Governor Newsom only has until September 30 to sign or veto bills, so help us show the support NOW for him to Sign SB1167! 🖋️ Go to our website to: ✉️ Send a quick email OR 📱 Call his office to log your support walksf.org/SB1167

SB 1167 would require higher-powered electric motorcycles and mopeds to be truthfully labeled by manufacturers, properly disclosed, and regulated as motor vehicles. This is an important bill to begin addressing what we’re experiencing as pedestrians: illegal motorized vehicles on sidewalks.

We're joining our fellow advocates at @walksf.org, @streetsforallsf.org and SPUR to ask Prop G’s proponents to stop using the false traffic injury claim in their campaign materials and signage. Voters deserve honest data, not cherry-picked misinformation.

Live or work in the Bayview? Just us for a FREE event to celebrate sustainable transportation in SF on Sept 12! We'll have fun activities, transit resources, ways to get involved in transportation advocacy, AND FREE lunch for the first 100 attendees!🚶🚌 🚲🌳🌍 RSVP: luma.com/htmjn72k

We are deeply angered to see this deceptive ad being plastered to sign posts around San Francisco. This ad is intended to confuse voters -- and it's because supporters of Measure G can’t win without hiding the fact that they want to take away our city’s coastal park and promenade.

@sunsetdunes.org is the 3rd most visited greenspace in #sanfrancisco and it just keeps getting better. We need meaningful spaces where we can walk without fear of dangerous vehicle traffic. #sunsetdunes now and forever. ABSOLUTELY NO WAY on Measure G!

Did we just become best friends? YEP! 👨🏿‍🤝‍👨🏾 Peak2Peak is a great way to meet new friends! We'll organize you into small groups led by experienced walk leaders. You’ll spend the day tackling the route together and when you reach the finish line, you’ll arrive with new friends! 🎉 walksf.org/peak2peak

Transit leaders, operators, advocates, and riders will come together for SFTR's Transit Month Kickoff Rally on Tuesday, September 1st, at 10 am. There, we'll launch Transit Month to remind riders of public transit's role in the Bay Area’s economic, social, and cultural vibrancy.

The pilot speed camera programs in San Francisco & Oakland show how effective speed cameras are at dramatically changing driver behavior. This makes ALL of us safer on our streets. Speed cameras save lives, it’s that simple. And we need more given how rampant speeding has become. #SlowOurStreets
