Did you know that Web Sockets don't Pub-Sub? It's a common myth that Web Sockets provide Pub-Sub, but this is a part of the backend server. To learn more about Web Sockets, check out my latest article on Serverless DNA. serverlessdna.com/strands/webs...

Playing around with the Amazon Nova Canvas models in the bedrock playground ...... who thought naming the downloaded files using the prompt text was a fab idea ??????

Not sure who needs to read this, but when taking a CC payment online DO NOT GIVE ME 2 DROP DOWN BOXES FOR THE EXPIRY DATE - it means I buy less online because it takes TOO LONG

Christmas time means many different things to everyone. There are two things that come to mind for me. Family and peaches. Family because I get to spend quality time with people who matter so much to me, and peaches because the days before Christmas is when the peaches on my tree ripen!

It starts with Peaches which are then followed Inka rough order of ripeness: Apricots, Blood Plums, Golden Delicious Apples, Figs, Granny Smith Apples and Pomegranates.

I'm really proud of my talk at re:Invent this year. It is full of meaty #serverless design with plenty of "Why"'s. It's a good story, flowing narrative and solid Serverless facts. Let me know your thoughts - what you liked, did not like or where you want a deeper dive. #ListenToTheHeroes

My re:Invent 2024 talk Dev-319 is on YouTube now! It covers my experience building a live scoring system for a global sporting event. I enjoyed crafting this story; it provides solid strategies and principles for everyone watching it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Lxz... #ListenToTheHeroes

re:Invent is a LOT about networking and meeting people I collaborate with throughout the year. Great to Meetup with the #AWS Powertools for Lambda team! Was so good to meet you all and take a few minutes to chat and catchup. Look forward to many more collaborations in 2025! #ListenToTheHeroes

Loving the @valkeyio.bsky.social velocity, so refreshing!

Madelyn Olson@reconditerose.bsky.social

The Valkey community is hard at work developing a high performance vector similarity search implementation, and we're looking for folks interested in providing high level API and directional feedback here: github.com/valkey-io/va.... They'll be a more concrete implementation soon once we're aligned.

At re:Invent 2024 I met AWS All Builders Welcome grant recipients and all of them are inspiring! I can't wait to see your #AWS journey. Reach out for mentoring, continue finding your place in this amazing #AWSCommunity! Thanks: Suzana, Bhavana, Blair, Dana, Dale and Clariza #ListenToTheHeroes

I wholeheartedly support Anna's message and am appalled at vendors given how much it costs for an expo booth, a few shirts to be more inclusive is 🥜. I am done with tech t-shirts unless you show me you are being inclusive, and we should all do the same.

Anna Spysz@annaspies.dev

As half my timeline is currently posting from #reinvent, please allow me to rant about a topic I care deeply about: swag. Taking a male cut t-shirt, changing nothing about it other than maybe printing a few extra XS sizes, and calling it “unisex” is not, in fact, unisex.

....and it's re:Invent 2024 Go Time! Excited to be here in person and looking forward to meeting up with all my online community friends and making new ones. If you see me out there come say Hi - Would love to meet you!

EventHub For Front Ends (Effe) is a pure Event management system with publish and subscribe semantics, there are no WebSockets!!! Events on FrontEnd does not mean WebSockets! They are a transport medium used by Connectors. Join in the conversation here:

I am loving the Visual Update in the #AWS console lately. I am finding it responsive as well so I can move faster BUT....I still want the Lambda Console search feature in EVERY console!!! Its still so ❤️‍🔥 ❤️‍🔥 ❤️‍🔥. Looking at you SQS Console 👀.

buff.lyAnnouncing a visual update to the AWS Management Console (preview) | Amazon Web ServicesA new intuitive AWS console design enhances readability, reduces complexity for improved task focus and efficiency while maintaining familiarity across AWS experiences.

It's perfect for all your EDA Needs! Effe is still under development and has not yet been released as an NPM package. Stay tuned for when it will be released. With re:Invent around the corner, I do not have much spare time.

I just clicked a "Link" in a post.....and it actually opened my browser (not some internal window then that forces me to "OPEN IN A FRIGGIN' BROWSER") 🥰 love this app already.

You are up to date.
