Shadow of the Colossus 21st Anniversary. I've only known this game for around 5 years, but it still feels nostalgic thinking about it. The 'wander' in my profile name is (kinda) from the game protagonist. It's nice having some peak art to look up to (even though I'm still far from it).

My profile name would have been something with 'ICO' or 'Yorda' if I actually managed set up my drawing account maybe a month earlier. Would be nice to actually draw something for SOTC, though I'm not sure if my skills are enough to capture even a little bit of the game's beauty.

I'm going to be house-sitting for a week, so I thought it would be good to start with a JRPG. The game I'm playing is so good, but kinda similar with Fortune's Weave. After finishing that, I'm just so tired with any social sim elements, no matter how good the characters are.

Every time I play any JRPG with visual novel / social sim elements, I keep thinking that it would be great if they could do it like 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Being able to do story content and actually play in my own discretion, and not stuck in hours repeating menial tasks. It was so goooood

I wanna pre-order Ocarina of Time... Don't think I'm going to play it within 4 months of release, but it might actually be more cost-effective, since I'd get some pre-order goodies. It's not like Nintendo games ever go on sale here, and 2nd hand sellers would just sell it at 100% price or more.

Even with something like Persona 3 Reload, I waited until a sale to actually buy it (and got spoiled on the game art because of commissions)... But with Nintendo games, prices don't go down, and sometimes it might even go up. (I just want a peace of mind, and not wonder if I should buy or not)

GAAAAAAH the dev replied to my post on Twitter (I wonder if he thought I'm some weirdo for wanting middle aged men in my VNs instead of cute and sexy girls. I'm getting so old that I appreciate these types of characters more now.)

Any 428 Shibuya Scramble fans here have tried Akiba Lost? The UI and mechanics seem similar enough, but the suspicious amount of female characters make me doubt if the stories are similar too. (Especially when the middle-aged male supporting characters were my favorites in 428.)

There's this one game that supposedly has a good story, but I just can't stand it for more than an hour. I tried playing it every year for the last 4 years, using different devices and platforms, but I just groan due to how convoluted the story and dialogue are.

Asura the Destructor I believe this was the finalized draft. My computer is unorganized and resembles a messy room, making it difficult for even me to keep track of everything. 輪壊者状態のアスラ これが決定稿…だったはず HD内部が大量のデータで散らかりすぎてて、自分でもすべてを把握しきれてません…w

I played it again after a month. Thought I'd change my opinion about it, but its flaws just became more obvious. For a game that has a not-so-good gameplay, a lot of enemies just swarm towards the player and makes defeating them just feel tedious.

I bought a game on semi-impulse (known about it since release, and bought it a year later because it's on sale). It has a really good creative direction. Stylized characters, UI, camera work, and framing. Everything you can 'see' is great. But man, the gameplay is not so good...

The JRPG I'm playing right now has so many things to do, it honestly feels more like a to-do checklist that I need to complete because it's there, not because I have fun doing them. Kinda tempted to enable the 4x EXP 2x AP, just so I could skip some of those, but still not end up underlevelled.

Looking at the intro of the first few Umas, Cygames really went thru a lot of art styles. This one similar to Akihiko Yoshida / Granblue. Not sure, but the other intros have art similar to their other games. I wonder what's the deciding factor on picking the Deresute art style in the end.

"Instead of doomscrolling when I'm sad, I'm just gonna play instead." 70 hours of playtime in 2 weeks I don't know if I'm supposed to look at it positively, since I'm having fun instead of just being sad. But looking at it negatively, a significant chunk of my day is spent on just being sad.
