I work hard to make sure mammograms are accessible and affordable – and I passed the PALS Act into law to protect access to these vital screenings for women in their 40s. It’s so important to catch breast cancer early. Schedule your mammogram today! #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth

I'm so proud to represent this fantastic community that comes together to improve quality of life for our kids. Nova Southeastern University's 'A Day For Children' gives valuable resources to help Broward County kids stay healthy.

Families in my district have had to pay $4,400 more because of Trump's policies. 🏠 $1,000+ more on rent and mortgages. 🩺 $1,000+ more on healthcare. ⛽ $800+ more on gas. 🥩 $300+ more on groceries. I'm fighting to end the high costs and make life more affordable.

After MAGA ripped health care and food assistance away from seniors and DOGE raided Social Security offices and data, monthly SSI checks will only go up 3.6% - barely a tank of gas. While Republicans ignore the cost crisis, Democrats are fighting for an affordable America.

Today, like other Members, my district office received a suspicious letter. I’m thankful Sunrise Police and first responders acted swiftly to ensure my staff’s safety. Cowardly acts of intimidation like this will not work. They have no place in our politics and must be condemned.

Gas now tops $4 a gallon, with diesel over $6, all thanks to Trump's illegal and reckless Iran war and tariffs. Democrats are fighting to end the war, cancel the tariffs, and crack down on Trump corruption, so our government can prioritize American families once again.

When Claudia was illegally detained and mistreated by ICE, her family reached out to my office and we took action. I inspected the site where she was held and insisted I speak with her. I'm glad she's back with her loved ones, and I'll always fight to keep families together.

It’s National #MammographyDay! Mammograms should be accessible and affordable. I passed the PALS Act l to protect access to vital screenings for women ages 40-49. As a survivor, I know firsthand how critical it is to catch breast cancer early. Schedule your mammogram today!

My heart is with @congressmanraja.bsky.social, Aurora, and the Hindu and Indian American communities. Thanks to the first responders and citizens that stopped this potentially deadly attack. The FBI must investigate this and we must protect houses of worship from acts of violence and hate.

Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi@congressmanraja.bsky.social

My family and I were worshipping at our Hindu temple in Aurora on Sunday when a white supremacist attempted a mass shooting targeting Indian Americans. I'm grateful to those who prevented a tragedy, but we must all come together to confront the hatred that put so many innocent lives at risk.

Trump lifted sanctions on Russian oil to fund Putin's war, and now directed his friend Elon Musk to cut off Ukraine's access to the internet and military communications. This won't bring peace. It will only fuel Putin's brutality and cause more civilian deaths and suffering.

nytimes.comUkraine’s Exposure Grows as Satellite Use Is Restricted and Russia Escalates (Gift Article)A huge attack cut power to 600,000 people in Kyiv, and a Pentagon-funded satellite internet program appeared to be curbed without warning.

Proud to stand with all @houseforeign.bsky.social Democrats to reject Trump's corrupt deal with Putin. Funding Russia's war won't lower prices. We’ll kill this deal, cancel Trump's tariffs, and end his disastrous Iran war to deliver real relief to Americans.

Ranking Member @meeks.house.gov, joined by all HFAC Democrats, condemn President Trump’s decision to license Russian diesel purchases and call on Congress to pass the End Russian Oil Windfalls Act.

I returned to the Miramar ICE facility for another surprise oversight visit. While the conditions are still unsafe and unhygienic, it's clear that public pressure is yielding results. I'll keep fighting to rein in this dangerous, unconstitutional abuse of our neighbors.

Less than a week until early voting starts in Florida! If you're a Broward voter, you can vote at any Broward polling location from October 19 to November 1, from 7AM to 7PM. Find an early vote site near you, and make a plan to vote.

Glad to sit down with The Recording Academy's Broward representatives to discuss how I can support the arts with AI looming. AI offers great potential, but we must enact guardrails to protect creativity and ensure the arts center human creators.

On #IndigenousPeoplesDay, we honor and celebrate Indigenous communities that have endured across generations and continue to shape our country. The Seminole and Miccosukee Tribes are central to South Florida history, and I’ll always support their safety and sovereignty.

A pleasure to join leaders committed to affordable housing and delivering the American Dream at the Realtors Association's Broward Mayors Breakfast. With the More Homes on the Market Act, Making Condos Safer and Affordable Act and more, I'm fighting for just that in Congress.

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month! That means it’s a great time to schedule your mammogram and start doing regular self-exams. We must make this testing more accessible and invest in breast cancer research and awareness campaigns. I'll keep fighting for that in Congress.

When I conducted a surprise inspection of Alligator Alcatraz, I asked about "The Box," ICE's inhumane punishment device. They lied to my face and said it didn't exist. We must keep the pressure on to overhaul ICE and end the cruelty.

Beating cancer is hard enough. We can't leave those finishing active treatment alone in a wilderness. My Lainie Jones Comprehensive Cancer Survivorship Act gives cancer centers and local groups the resources to build structured exercise regimens to keep survivors in remission.

nytimes.comIt Can Keep Cancer in Remission. Why Is No One Talking About It?Despite mounting evidence that exercise programs can improve cancer outcomes, access to them remains limited.

As we remember the thousands brutally killed, sexually assaulted and injured, as well as their families, we must work for a lasting peace for both Israelis and Palestinians. Both must be freed from Hamas terror and be able to rebuild from this tragedy.

Roy L. Rogers was a dear friend of mine who showed that growth and ecological stewardship can coexist. In Weston he embraced open spaces, shunned cookie-cutter sprawl and saved treasures like Peace Mound Park and ensured there was meaningful wetland mitigation.

sun-sentinel.comRoy Rogers, civic leader and environmental champion who designed Weston, dies at 90Roy Rogers, the planner responsible for the way Weston, Florida, looks today, and longtime advocate for the environment and good government, has died at 90.

Congress needs to have the back of America’s farmers. I just introduced a bipartisan bill to make sure the crops that fuel American families are protected from extreme weather threats. We need every tool to help farmers recover from natural disasters.

So glad to join FLoatarama's LGBTQ Youth Awards! Each dollar awarded builds a more welcoming, inclusive community, and ensures our kids get the support they deserve. Everyone must be able to live authentically with the same rights and freedom all Americans enjoy.

Democrats are shining a spotlight on cruelty and massive waste of taxpayer dollars at Florida's ICE facilities. We forced them to shut down Alligator Alcatraz and improve conditions in Miramar, and we won't stop there. I'll keep fighting to end ICE cruelty.

Glad to join Mayor Dean Trantalis and Fort Lauderdale residents at this year's State of the City address! The city’s progress in the past year, from public safety to infrastructure, is impressive. I look forward to working with the Mayor and City Commission in the year ahead!

A whistleblower told us that ICE detained hundreds of people in a garage and chained them overnight in Miramar, flagrantly violating a court order banning them from holding people longer than 12 hours. This treatment—without due process—is torture. We must keep fighting back.

This is a pointless policy change designed to punish hardworking TSA agents. It will slow down security lines and needlessly distract frontline security officers. We shouldn't make it harder for federal workers to keep us safe from threats.

abcnews.comTSA officers told to stand, chairs banned at airport checkpoints nationwide"This welcome change reinforces both our security posture and our commitment to hospitality by having these officers on their feet and alert," a TSA spokesperson said.

This #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, join me in honoring breast cancer fighters, survivors, their families and caregivers. As a survivor myself, I want to remind you to please get an annual screening. It's our best tool for saving lives. It may save yours.
