It’s wild to me how much we just accept cliffhangers in modern television. They are explicitly a marketing technique to get you to come back and keep watching the show. With rare exceptions, episodes should be standalone micro-arcs within a larger story. Just another way capitalism ruins art lmao.

My favorite thing about Bluesky is that when I get to the top of my feed I close the app and forget about it for a while. The way I SHOULD disconnect from a social media app. It’s not pulling out every manipulation technique it knows to keep me on the app as long as possible.
