i dislike that health insurance companies use imagery of people being cared for by healthcare workers, clinics, smiling and recovering. their use of symbols like the caduceus is profane. they have nothing to do with healthcare provision, they are a barrier to it. they take it away from people.

when I was 18, working 2 part time jobs already, took on a 3rd at a large chain burger place. I didn't even finish a single shift.. I was so tired already my first day that I just sat in the walk-in fridge for 3 hours and then told them I was going on break and drove home to sleep, never to return

there are so many video games. spanning back decades. there are more than you'll ever be able to play. there are tons that you would probably love that you'll completely miss. there's no reason to sell your soul to the ghouls out of some weird allegiance to any one IP.

i still love playing this game, even after all this time. one of the best city builders ever still. i love how much vibrance and charm they got out of that limited color palette in DOS. Playing it now via SC2kFix. Really nice way to run it in modern windows.

with everything going on in the world famous people who are still using their money, platforms, exposure etc to focus on and punch down at marginalized groups like poc, lgbtq+, have to be among the lowest order of imbeciles and vacuous dullards alive.

Pedro Acosta (♡.. white helmet, rider on the left..'37'), shows us how he stands up tall while braking, using his body as a parachute. Not easy to hang on and control the brakes doing that, going from 320 kph to 100.

Ai Ogura became the first Japanese rider to win a MotoGP race in 22 years this past Sunday at the Netherlands GP. He did so in badass fashion, going half a lap with his rear suspension stuck lowered from a malfunctioning ride-height device. He got it disengaged, and then passed the top 2 to win.

Just a clip from a MotoGP onboard comp I like. Shows off the speed and proximity better than wide-angle broadcast cameras.
