Every year, without fail, somebody has the idea to do a Halloween costume that includes blackface. That's the devil on your shoulder. Don't do it.

I am still just the slightest bit upset that I only got to take part in the Pizza Hut BOOK IT program for one year. The next year the last Pizza Hut in my hometown closed down. Building's still there though, some thirty years on. You can't miss it. Got the roof and everything.

Starting to really like making these magazine cover mockups. It's kinda fun seeing how the various blend modes interact with one another.

Solved my PC problems. Turned out the poor thing's air filters were clogged with dust and cat hair. One can of air later and she's purring.

It's kind of insane how good the voice acting is in Deadlock. The gameplay's not my jam, but I love the characterization and interactions going on there.

Dabbling with context a bit on this Banditos logo here. I've been told that putting a logo in it's proper context helps a lot, but my photoshop skills still need some work.

I wish there were more sports comic book series's. It has always seemed super weird to me that sports stories are so well represented in other mediums, but in western, English language comics they are incredibly rare.

A portfolio piece. This Vastcat logo is based on my own cat, Lilly. She walked into my office one day, sat just like that all fluffy and wide, and proceeded to yell at me until I stopped doing graphic design and instead spent the next fifteen minutes of my day petting her.

Still trying to sort out the best way to present my work publicly. These little squares were a bit of a necessity since I started posting regularly on Instagram a few years ago, and I do like them, but I also feel like they can lack context.

I recently made a redesign of the logo of the French football club RC Lens. It's not a 'fix' exactly, I don't dislike the current crest, but if they were to pursue a different look then this could be a route for them.

I'm a little bit surprised that there hasn't been a big push for an Avatar: TLA MMORPG. The worldbuilding seems like it would be friendly to the idea. It might even be one of the few franchises that can do the temporary super player character thing that Star Wars Galaxies did.

I use Inkscape for a huge majority of my graphic design work. It's free, open source, and has no AI integration. Which is great for me since I tend to find generative AI to be more of a hindrance than anything else.

Passing thought, but I've been playing a lot of Dragonball Xenoverse 2 recently and I would be willing to bet that an Invincible game that plays similarly would make an absolute killing.

My parents have been watching Outlander and from what little I've seen and heard them say about it, I have to ask... is this thing just basically Inuyasha?

Decided to try doing some movie poster designs. These are fake movies, and the actors and directors are also made up. Don't bother trying to look them up. It'll just send you down some weird rabbit holes.

Here are some more practice book covers. Definitely not at the point where I'm taking money for this kind of work, but it is a good way to get acclimated to more tools.

I just had a whole conversation where I repeatedly called the Strait of Hormuz the 'Strait of Vermouth' and only realized it after the fact. 🤦‍♂️

Absolutely blown away by the demo of The Eternal Life of Goldman. The storytelling is incredible and the visual style is a joy to behold. My enjoyment was only mildly tempered by my being pretty terrible at precision platformers.

Tried making some book covers. Since I am still figuring out illustration, I had to rely on typography and various free stuff I found on the internet.

This is probably a personal taste thing, but I hate it when a new TV show is dumped, in it's entirety, all at once, on a streaming service. One new episode every week makes me a lot more likely to actually watch a show. It's more digestible that way.

Through some admittedly half-assed research, I have learned that Lake Superior has at least two localized cryptids. One which is a 75 foot long green serpent named Pressie, and the other, Mishipizheu, is an enormous aquatic horned panther.
