Woke up to my downstairs neighbor playing acoustic guitar loudly at 8 am this morning so I’m definitely getting up to some professional upstairs neighborism today.

These people have “slush funds”. Slush is what I step in getting on the bus. We have to eat them all.

The one thing I’ve observed as someone who mixes music and audio who also listens to podcasts is how many podcasts record and release in mono. Crazy to me. Even a pod with no theme songs will eventually play a clip of a song or tv show. When I hear hard L and R on a pod I notice, and enjoy it.

There’s a bunch of episodes randomly missing from my feed for the show @nevernotfunny.com and I don’t know if it’s my app or other listeners are having this issue? Avoiding emailing Eliot in case it’s my fault. Sporadically bonus episodes from 38 have vanished. Not all just random ones.

I am a hiphop producer and one of the things I do is sit and listen to records to find the samples. Sometimes once I’m done sampling I leave the reverb on, and listen to an entire record with reverb on and think to myself “it sounds nice this way”, call me @toddglass.bsky.social I guess.

Is there anyone else who fits the category - surprisingly nimble fat guy who is incredibly hilarious - other than Jack Black and Chris Farley with that same level of fame?
