I often put "draw a monster on the box" in my shipping notes when I place orders and see who reads them. @nobleknightgames.bsky.social understood the assignment

One of my favorite IICs because, like the Highlander, it's still totally recognizable for what it's based on, while being a deadly upgrade. #RasalhagueDominion #TauGalaxy #Battletech #alphastrike #tabletop #miniatures #painting #catalystgamelabs

Okay, I got some non-Battletech out of my system, so now back to your regularly scheduled #RasalhagueDominion #TauGalaxy #Battletech #alphastrike #tabletop #miniatures #painting #catalystgamelabs

The big batch of #WrathofKings units I've been working on - the Iron Lotus warriors #shaelhan #CMON #tabletopgaming #wargaming #miniaturepainting #miniatures #spookyseason

My buddy always needs to borrow one of these when we play #WrathofKings, so I dug through my extras last night and found one. It's an #ebayrescue, and I spent the time since painting it up so he can just have it. #goritsi #CMON #tabletopgaming #wargaming #miniaturepainting #miniatures #spookyseason

Basing WIP #shaelhan #CMON #WrathofKings #tabletopgaming #wargaming #miniaturepainting #miniatures

A classic that every Clan force needs at least one of. #RasalhagueDominion #TauGalaxy #Battletech #alphastrike #tabletop #miniatures #painting #catalystgamelabs

The other new Executioner I painted this week was for my #RasalhagueDominion forces #TauGalaxy #Battletech #alphastrike #tabletop #miniatures #painting #catalystgamelabs

Leading up to today, where we round out the Assault Star with the Executioner. This is my kitbashed G variant I teased a while back. #smokejaguars #clans #painting #ralpartha #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Since #ralpartha only packed Omnis in lances, I have often made the Highlander IIC an honorary member to round out an assault star. It's a badass sculpt. #smokejaguars #clans #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Even by standards of the time, the Gargoyle model doesn't match any official variant, but it's still a fav. #smokejaguars #clans #painting #ralpartha #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Another Dire Wolf. (Obviously, I'm working through another Ral Partha Omnis box.) #smokejaguars #clans #painting #ralpartha #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Finally started some #smokejaguars ...and look, it's another old-school Warhawk! #clans #painting #ralpartha #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

A family photo of my #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Last but not least: This mini is beat up and rough looking, but there's a reason. I've had it since I was a kid in the 90s and I vowed if I ever painted up the #BlackThorns, this would be Rose's. #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

I went back and forth on Myoto's Grand Dragon. There is no canon scheme listed, so I went with gray & gave her subtle details (number, cockpit & laser colors) to set her apart, but still fit #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

This one's kind of honorary...they captured it in the first book and mention having it in the second, but I don't know if they ever actually fielded it...but, hey - Marauder II #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Before I get back to the #BlackThorns, I had another #FoxsTeeth on deck. #davion #battletech #alphastrike #miniaturepainting #painting #tabletopgaming #wargaming

Oh no! I dropped #Wolfie! But, this is a chance to see the level.of Fordite I've achieved so far...and I was able to fix him. We have the technology (read: Superglue.) #battletech #alphastrike #minipainting #miniatures #painting #tabletop #wargaming

Quick break from my #BlackThorms to share my #FoxsTeeth Mongoose from Mechfrog's video today. #davion #battletech #alphastrike #miniaturepainting #painting #tabletopgaming #wargaming

Second of two Timber Wolves. I'm really glad that, when setting aside minis for this project, I thought to grab two different Timby poses. #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Got my Deck(s) of Many Colors today. Looking forward to trying them out. #slaythegray #ninjon #DoMC #painting #miniatures #tabletop

First of two Timber Wolves. #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

I like to picture this guy tripping over the streetlight at top speed. #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Primed up the rest of the m chs I need for my ongoing #FoxsTeeth project. That's a lot of classic metal. #davion #battletech #alphastrike #miniaturepainting #painting #tabletopgaming #wargaming

This might be one of the dumbest things I've done for detail: I made a custom base with appropriate pegs for the jump version of the Shadow Hawk, even though it's 98% covered in jump form. #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Dang. Where'd my followers go? I can't find them. #dadjokes

I have a WoK game coming up, so I got inspired to get back to painting some of the minis. These are Celestial Guardians. Went back and forth on basing for a while before settling on some custom jade plinths. #shaelhan #CMON #WrathofKings #tabletopgaming #wargaming #miniaturepainting #miniatures

Who doesn't love a Warhammer? #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Kitten's Panther. I always felt this character was WAY too on the nose. #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

...followed by Hawg's Zeus. #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Hawg's Battlemaster. #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Next up is Rianna Rose's Phoenix Hawk. This is the metal mini so that I could give her the upgraded variant she canonically had. #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Last of my rebases is this Valkyrie. A splash of color in this one. #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

I know bitching about minis from a defunct game made by a mostly defunct company is punching down - but man, the #WrathofKings minis are great looking but often had TERRIBLE fitment. #greenstuff fixes. #CMON #Miniatures #painting #tabletopgaming #wargaming

Rebased Raven. Added some extra flavor with a knocked over streetlight. #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Rebased Mercury #BlackThorns #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

After painting the Banshee, I revisited my #BlackThorns. Finished up the whole unit, as well as spruced up my existing ones with new bases, like this Charger. #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Look at all this Classic and/or Unseen metal primed up... #ebayrescue #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Last blind box for my #Aces team was a Legendary MechWarrior one, and I pulled the Griffin GRF-2N. This team is not one that I would put together on my own, and that excited me for this run #OhrksDragoons #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

The other vehicle in the box was this Ontos, which ended up being the heaviest hitter on my team. I use this tank for several factions. #Aces #OhrksDragoons #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Got a bit crazy with the next blind box - Battlefield support. The first of the two vehicles was a J Edgar Dadjoke. #Aces #OhrksDragoons #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

There seemed to be some interest, so I took some more in depth pictures of my process for city bases (alt text for details.) #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

My next blind box draws was technically an Ice Ferret, but those aren't available to the Mercs faction in the ilClan era, so I had to pull another - the Guillotine. #Aces #OhrksDragoons #Mercs #Mercenaries #painting #catalystgamelabs #battletech #alphastrike #miniatures #tabletop

Finishing up my series on the #wizardstower, so obviously, we need the thing itself. @firesidegames.bsky.social #CastlePanic #miniaturepainting #boardgames #miniatures #painting
