A minor footnote in the history of Doctor Who.

Dang, that £1 trillion pound check from Elon Musk with ‘no strings attached’ for me to spend ‘doing good deeds’ was also part of the Dracula’s Train of Terror dream.

Really enjoyed ‘Dracula’s Train of Terror’ ft. Christopher Lee, Edward Woodward, Michael Caine, Kung fu, time travel, that bit where my pants were dirty…oh bugger it was just a dream.

I mean it would definitely be Doctor Who but I can’t pinpoint a moment. Whereas I definitely remember being terrified of Chico the Rainmaker at a Saturday matinee at the Dukes Playhouse, Lancaster.

In honor of scary media month: what is the first piece of media you remember truly frightening you as a child?

Once again I am happy to accept five million pounds, no strings attached, from any #billionaire I will Only do good deeds with it, though it being no strings attached if I choose to do evil what business is that of yours?

Things I was frightened of as a child Chico the Rainmaker aka The Boy with Two Heads Hearing the Daleks on the way into the Doctor Who exhibition in Blackpool (I did not go inside) Turning my back on the graveyard when I walked up the ginnel to collect papers for my newspaper round in the morning

Things I was frightened of as a child: Children of the Stones. My older cousin visited and wanted to watch the final episode. I had nightmares for *years*. The nacelle caps on my USS Enterprise poster which looked like glowing eyes in the dark. The almost entirely innocuous cover of this book:

It depends a little on what you mean by ‘remember’. I know I watched the first space shuttle launch but don’t remember anything about it. So it’s probably going to be Tom Baker regenerating to Peter Davison. I guess that means it depends what you mean by ‘historic event’!

I’m working on my Christmas cards. Got to figure out a better way to do the lettering but I’m pretty happy with the Scrooge on this one! #BahHumbug #StillSummer

For decades, Jodrell Bank has helped us understand the universe, but now it's facing pointless funding cuts. Withdrawing funds won't save much money, but it will seriously hurt UK science. Watching ‘Fake or Fortune’. The picture has to be submitted to a committee so they may as well sit in the gallery drinking shots for the rest of the programme. #FakeOrFortune

I’ve just realised how horribly claustrophobic it would feel to be a passenger in an original series TARDIS. No windows in those bedrooms! And most of the companions’ rooms that we see are just one room. I’d go crazy.

I suppose that most children watching the show would have just had a bedroom. But I think a modem version would have to be an apartment about the size of the ones in Friends. They could even have a similar fake window with forced perspective views.

Spent the morning working on a Christmas linocut. Got to be ready for the rush! Here’s the pencil rubbing version. The caption is either going to be, ‘A poor excuse to pick a man’s pocket every 25th of December.’ Or possibly, ‘Is it still Christmas? I hadn’t noticed.’ #linocut #SundayArt

#cats #caturday does anybody on here have a cat called Athena, or Persephone, or Jack Frost? I’m looking for inspo/reference pictures for a linocut and thought it would be nice to have a real life cat.
