Rex attempts to bury the truth. He hides Ed’s recommendation that the fallen tree should be looked at in a hole that has appeared under the roots of another large and rather diseased looking tree. #TheArchers 1/2

Keira pushes her luck. It’s second half term, she tells Eddie, so she doesn’t need to go to school and can spend all her time in the Grundy Community Orchard or bothering Amber. #TheArchers 2/2

Ed makes an unsettling discovery. While making safe the standing part of the tree that fell on Vince, he finds axe marks where the trunk split from the roots, along with a handkerchief which he recognises as belonging to Freddie. #TheArchers 1/2

A bombshell is dropped at the Maliks. Akram acquired it from a local arms manufacturer with the aim of stress testing Tom’s new greenhouse. It slips out of his hands but luckily doesn’t go off. #TheArchers 2/2

Running into a collapsing building without a thought of her safety sounds more like foolishness than bravery. #TheArchers

If the turkeys (Turkiyës?) are back in the pole barn then it can’t have been the source of the rubble that landed in the road several miles away. Just sayin’. #TheArchers

Akram faces disappointment. Tom’s new greenhouse does all the work he used to do, so he is going to have to join Tracy in Team New Cheese. #TheArchers 1/2

A decision is reached for the Grundys. George and Amber are going to call the baby Crispin Crispian Agincourt Grundy-Gordon in honour of today’s date. #TheArchers 2/2

There’s unexpected news for one resident. Three extra bundles of the Borsetshire Echo have been delivered to the village shop. Susan is thrown into a complete panic. #TheArchers 1/2

Pip offers reassurance. Don’t worry Auntie Elizabeth, I know that Vince has lost his you-know-what as a result of the accident, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a full and happy relationship with him. After all, Stella and I are doing fine without either of us having one. #TheArchers 2/2

Ben attempts to make a difference. “Even though there’s a new Josh that has a voice that is closer to mine, I’m the one that doesn’t sound whiny and resentful, while he’s the one with the suspiciously buff actor photo.” #TheArchers 1/2

Eddie surveys the damage. “That orangery is a real mess, Elizabeth, but tell you what, for a reasonable fee I will clear away all the rubble - don’t you mind where I dump it - and in its place I’ll lay you a very nice patio, ready for next summer.” #TheArchers 2/2

Only half past six? That means that they can get back to Lower Loxley in time to listen to Sunday’s episode of #TheArchers.

So it’s all Chelsea’s fault. The Horrobin DNA comes to the fore at last. [ducks and runs for cover] #TheArchers

Harrison tries to maintain order. He arrests Keira for being a Grundy and, when he finally arrives, Josh for being, well, Josh. #TheArchers 1/2

Will history repeat itself for David? He gets back to Brookfield to find The Dream of Gerontius playing on the stereo. #TheArchers 2/2

“Nobody’s answering.” “That’s because everybody hates you for not turning up for the wedding.” #TheArchers

One resident finds themselves in a desperate situation. The roads are all blocked with falling trees so while Pip does some farming stuff, Stella is stuck at home with Rosie. #TheArchers 1/2

There’s a shock for Ruth. She opens one of her sheds and discovered that it’s full of they turkeys from Grange Farm. #TheArchers 2/2

I think that the tree falling on Chelsea is a warning from the editor to the cast not to kick up rough about moving the recording of #TheArchers out of Brum. Nobody is irreplaceable…
