About 4 months into being on my own, and I feel like your "home" doesn't really feel home until you've cooked a complete meal. Finally cooked a full, real meal and it feels so fulfilling after living back at home for so long.

New job hasn't been too bad, summer nearly killed when I started but leagues better than retail. Finally got a PC and working on my steam backlog has been bliss so far. Modding is way more fun than I thought it would be.

Finally caught up with Fire force and that third season + ending credits had me losing my absolute mind. Having some prior knowledge about the ending and what it connects to, The next/ final season is gonna be insane.

The steam deck has been paying dividends already, letting me slowly catch up with my steam library while playing games from my childhood again.

Playing Ghost of Yotei made me realize it's not that I miss playing just good games, I miss playing games that push boundaries. Why aren't more studios using the tech that dual sense controllers have? Lighting campfires, sketching and cooking are so simple but so engaging.

Jesus after that last direct and the news about the patent/ pokemon, I'm so glad I didn't get a switch 2. Only reinforced getting a steam deck instead.

I've been in my new job for a lil over a month now, and being outside much more often tends to take a toll when it's 100°+ degrees. The pay is much better than retail but part of me feels like a half limp horse at the end of the week. Winter cannot come soon enough.

I haven't been the biggest fan of Mario Kart in awhile, but the rail and wall grinding mech in MK World feels like something that should've been in the game ages ago. That shit is a chef's kiss to use when drifting.

Two more days in retail and I can finally get out of this prison I've been stuck in for nearly 7 years. It's gonna be so weird to never close ever, and almost always have the weekends off.

Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 is gonna ruin RPGs going forward for me gameplay wise. The dodging and parrying system, along with how they do accessories is GROUNDBREAKING and INCREDIBLE when you pull it off without getting hit.

Whoever designed the lock picking mechanic in Kingdom Come Deliverance, you deserve a medal for realism and attention to detail. I also hope you never work on a game again.

I've been using Twitter less and less since joining here and cuz it feels like Twitter just doesn't work app wise. If it's not the Hatred and Misery that drives me away, it's the fact the app just doesn't open.

Moving out on my own was a scary thought at first, but I feel like I'm catching a groove. Been in my own place for about a month now and I feel like I've slowly settled in, this was the push I needed to feel like I wasn't stuck in place, I made the change and couldn't be happier. Stressed, but happy

You are up to date.
