Greetings

A good development in York - wild flowers under the City Walls.

` Why is this so wrong..?` - I meant why do some try to prevent others from choosing to die with dignity?

Our lovely earth

Just outside the city of York- ancient bog

Sometimes I focus on this

Let the sun shine in

I`m focussing on this

So much to enjoy

There is still beauty to see

`A host of golden daffodils...`to fill our hearts with pleasure, I hope.

Let`s build bridges

65 years since the first performance of The Beatles in the Cavern Club - life would be a little less cheerful without their music :)

On January 11th, 2010, Miep Gies, the courageous woman who salvaged Anne Frank`s diary when the Secret Annex had been betrayed, passed away. She was over a hundred years old. She - at huge personal risk- did shopping for the eight hiding in the Annex until they were given away. Remember her.

On this day, in 1909, Nicholas Winton was born. He was the initiator of the Kindertransport of 669 mainly Jewish children from Czechoslovakia to Britain just before the borders closed in 1939. Most probably all would have been murdered in camps. `One Life` , the film, tells this.

For those who like pictures of otters - this is a young one being released into the river Ouse

Stopping to look at these lambs I was glad I follow a plant-based diet.....

Our beautiful earth which I hope to cherish

And can cherish these lambs

Lambs in a meadow beside the Amstel river

Following a plant-based diet means I can look cows in the eye :D

Today, Miep Gies, who looked after the Frank family and saved Anne Frank`s diary after the family had been betrayed, passed away. She did this at daily personal danger.
