3/4 A collapsible sidebar. League standings on Overview. In-app feedback. Better game recognition. Plus a universal Mac build, a substantial Linux update, and keyboard and screen reader improvements. Classic navigation is still an option.

2/4 The collector counts. The window shows your stats. Heavy counting work no longer slows down the interface. Updates have full rollback if something fails. Your local Client API keeps the same ports and settings.

3/4 Cursor's monthly keystrokes fell 42% from March to September 2026. Claude Code reached 3.4% of active WhatPulse users. A shift toward coding agents may help explain it. Claude Code runs in terminals, so we report its reach, not its keystrokes.

A week can turn things around. Ahrtos, Zipturo and FireBot all earned promotion out of Silver in WhatPulse's Week 42 round, straight after being relegated the week before. How's your comeback going this week? whatpulse.org/stats/leagues

If you like tweaking how the app looks, Appearance Settings is the place to start. Your stats are yours. The app should feel that way too.

An app total can hide the part you actually want to inspect. Here, an expanded application row breaks input activity down by individual window title in macOS dark mode. That makes it easier to see how one app was actually split across different windows. Which row would you open first?

Shrink the date range before you read the Overview. The Overview has date-range controls, and a shorter range changes what you're looking at for stats like keystrokes and uptime. Open the link in the comments to see the macOS Overview in light mode and how the shorter range changes the readout.

Clean CSVs come from one question at a time. If you're exporting data, decide what you're trying to answer first. Mixing different kinds of numbers into one sheet usually makes the result harder to read. Start narrow, then export.

Bandwidth spikes are hard to understand after the fact. A daily total tells you how much data moved that day. It doesn't show the shape of the spike while it was happening.

A packed calendar can still leave you wondering what you actually got done. “Busy” can mean focused work, constant context switching, or a day that just felt noisy. When your stats don’t match your memory of the day, what do you check first?

A useful CSV starts with a specific question. Before you export, pick the comparison: one stat across a date range, or several stats from the same period. That choice decides whether your CSV is easy to sort or a wall of numbers. Link in the comments.

WhatPulse 7.0 beta 4 is available. This one adds league standings to the Overview page, with your division, rank, zone, round timer, and hidden-score state when a round is near the end. Also included: a fix for inflated stats after deleting a profile, more accurate uptime totals, and a long list o

38 points. That's all that decided a promotion in this week's WhatPulse Leagues. 😬 cxcv finished 38 PS ahead of THaque. to grab the final promotion spot in Bronze Group 152. Last week's closest promotion was decided by 172 points. Apparently that wasn't close enough. New all-time record. 🏆

A timer can tell you how long your computer was on. It can’t tell focused work from tab parking. Keys, clicks, app activity, uptime, and network usage can. That’s why we care about effort, not just time. Agree, or want to fight about it?

🏁 Another WhatPulse League round is in the books! 10,585 competitors battled across 212 groups this week ⌨️ 662,808,843 keys 🖱️ 293,995,676 clicks 🏆 1,544,795,871 Pulse Score 2,120 competitors moved up a division, while for the first time, 420 were relegated And now there are already 420 competito

Some apps look busy while doing almost nothing. Split app time into focus time and active time, and you’ll see what you actually used vs what just sat open in the background. WhatPulse makes that gap visible.

If your stats look cursed, check your buckets first. Work, side project, personal stuff: give each one its own tracking profile. When your day switches lanes, switch profiles too. In WhatPulse, your app breakdowns stay readable instead of mashed together.

One big network total tells you how much. Not what happened. The useful part is the breakdown: protocol and port. That’s where you spot weird spikes, patterns, or what app class actually moved the traffic. WhatPulse shows both.

Want the quick numbers before you open the full app? Start with the tray popup. You’ll see today, this week, and your unpulsed totals at a glance, then decide if you want to dig deeper in WhatPulse. Small check. Useful numbers.

Your network total can hide the real story. If Wi-Fi and Ethernet don't match, per-interface download and upload stats show which connection is actually doing the work. WhatPulse splits it out so you can compare instead of guess.

Private by default, or it’s not useful. Early on, we built controls that let you decide what gets counted: exclude apps, filter sensitive window titles, or pause tracking anytime. Your stats should feel useful, not intrusive.

Your busiest hour might be mostly vibes. Compare one time block across app time, keystrokes, clicks, and network activity. High time, low input? You were present. All four moving? You were doing the work. That’s what time alone misses.

Keep work and chaos in separate lanes. You can now switch profiles right from the menu bar, so your work, gaming, and side project stats stay in their own lanes. Give it a spin in WhatPulse and check your setup.

Busy all day, but can't explain why? What gives you the fastest first clue: keyboard heatmap, mouse heatmap, or app breakdown? Reply with one: keyboard / mouse / apps

Uptime can look great while your day felt chopped to pieces. That’s the problem with one number. Reboot history adds the missing context: how often your machine actually got interrupted. So in WhatPulse, we show both. Less guessing, better signal.

Time only tells you someone was there. Open Applications view to compare what actually happened in each app: keys, clicks, scrolls, distance, and window titles. Time shows presence. Input shows effort. WhatPulse shows both, so you're not guessing.

The first WhatPulse League records have officially been set. 🏆 Highest Pulse Score: 3,204,215 - TipsyWolf ⌨️ Most keys: 2,983,663 - typin_ 🖱️ Most clicks: 991,260 - TipsyWolf These are now the numbers to beat. How long do you think they'll survive?

One bandwidth total hides the real story. Split it by protocol and port type, and you can spot what's actually going on: download, upload, total traffic by type, one app, one service, or mystery bytes. That's the view we built into WhatPulse.
