Of course. Simply saying “AI” is too broad and creates unnecessary pushback. Computing has always has some form of AI. Consumer generative AI is a very specific thing that’s caused a vast and seemingly irreversible disruption to our basic cognition and I’m genuinely worried about it.

Like didn’t lying used to have consequences? I could’ve sworn it did. Now it feels like you’re being actively encouraged to do it. I’ve still yet to see a use for consumer generative AI that hasn’t ultimately been for the purpose of deception. Isn’t that a really big problem?

I liked Avatar: Fire & Ash but it was also very long and basically the same plot as the other two. But overall, it’s very enjoyable and I still care about all of the characters and the series is overall an achievement. But man is it long.

I’m usually way more forgiving to live action Disney remakes than most people are but this teaser was like 99% CGI, which doesn’t do much to justify its existence as a remake of a movie that was 100% CGI.

I figured this out, by the way. The developers behind the SNES version re-used the “FIGHT!” asset from the first game with an added bevel, whereas the Genesis development team used the arcade asset from the second game proper. I’m satisfied with that answer.

Random thought that’s always bothered me. Why did the Super Nintendo and Sega versions of Mortal Kombat 2 use different fonts for FIGHT? And it’s really just the G and the T. And Sega has a second exclamation point, which I can only assume is for extra fightness
