I don’t know if my recollection is incorrect & I just made it up, but I believe you used to have to run around ARR areas to reveal the whole map to get the mapping the realm achievements instead of it just giving it to you when you entered the new ARR overworld map

eyrie isnt a nickname giver nor user--its more about their tone when they speak. the affection or consternation when using her name & also if they chose to leave out the tribal prefix or not is close enough to a nickname to eyrie. y'shtola calls them silly enough that its something of a nickname XD

kiet using ardbert's name rather than a moniker or title is the closest she gets to a nickname outside of her calling him "a silly man" adding on references to him being hers is also the closest she'll get.

to kiet, the usage of a name is to identify them means that is who they are to her. ie. aymeric is lord commander bc that is what he is to her. so to her, ardbert is simply ardbert: nothing else. no duty, no obligation--he is nothing but himself.

one could say that eyrie has been married once before, albeit it wouldn’t be considered a marriage in a legal + social aspect. but the politics of marriage in eorzea are strange & they generally dislike it + don’t want to bind themselves to another that way

kiet has thought of marriage twice: to her former partner back in tuliyollal & fleeting half followed affections with aymeric. marriage is very romantic, but ultimately the politics of it leave a dirty taste in her mouth. she doesn’t need to prove to anyone else her love for another
