Made this last year for @hardcoverart.com's #hardcover2025 theme "retro". It also coincided with my drawing a lot of groovy daisies for that art zine so a lot of the same ideas transferred over. My whole plan for this was to put in way too much and try to make it work

If you're just here for the lewds, I love you and appreciate you just as those that care about how the erotica sausage is made. You don't need pretense to enjoy it Actually, thinking about why erotica sausage is made, or how it changes when you engage with it as a viewer might make it less fun.

I heard Charles Schulz say in an interview that he always draws the Peanuts characters in the same stroke order, like they wouldn't turn out the same if he changed it up. I really like the idea that cartoon characters have more in common with writing kanji than drawing a portrait.

I'm always charmed by the limited color looks of comics from the '50s and '60s. I don't even remember why I settled on this palette to begin with, but I do find myself returning to mint green pretty regularly. I have a theory that appealing color palettes tend to look edible and mint is delicious.
