a couple style frames for what i wanted the film to look like! Aaron Long’s Sublo and Tangy Mustard, Worthikids, and the Gobelins film SUNDOWN were some of the works i was thinking about when deciding on what to make this short look like.

another dialog shot, this time for CHEF. with a big mouth on him in every sense, it was so fun for all of us to animate him ESPECIALLY when he talked (or yelled..)

one of my main jobs particularly in pre-production was storyboarding, along with the help of Alex Elinchev. also lol i did Charlie’s voice for the animatic before Joseph hopped on.

I for sure spent the longest on this rough shot to get it right. Charlie is a dramatic, high-strung character, and if no other shot exemplified that I wanted this one to do so.

BLANCHED was SUPER dialog heavy, but at the same time once we figured out the acting and movement we kinda plugged in the mouth movements. it would be interesting to go back and do the acting while also accentuating different words or phrases. voice by @@heyitsmojo.bsky.social !!
