while you port and emulate games, I ported Jira to my PSP

might be pretentious to say but I hate vibe-coding because where the fuck is the soul in that? I don't code just to solve problems and make money, I code to passionately build things and learn. it makes me a better person. I don't care if it becomes inefficient.

there are entire online cultures born simply from programmers that don't know the most efficient solutions to problems at the time. you can feel them and that culture grow as well with every new update. I think that fucking matters.

if my career ever tries to turn me into a prompt generator I don't know what I'd do but it would never be that. the moment you go down that road is when you stop growing yourself. I don't care if it's less efficient. life is not efficient.

much like how you can feel the unique style in a person's art, the same can be said for a programmer's code. people don't talk nearly as much about this because it's not as easy to visualize how a programmer's experiences shape the code they write at the time.

It took a lot of mapping and metroid hunting but I have finally finished Metoid II: Return of Samus!!! Very excited to play Super Metroid later but for the rest of October I'll be focusing on some spooky SNES games and Silver Pines

I haven’t read any of it and have no plans nor desire to do so but I genuinely hope Rent A Girlfriend never ends because everything about it, its creator and its ill advised continued existence is a truly excellent and cosmically hilarious unintentional piece of performance art.

Yeah, there's a reason why TV networks do shows weekly even when they have the entire thing on-hand. Glad to see Netflix is finally cluing into that.

A new report from Luminate has found that long gaps between seasons of streaming TV shows are leading to major losses in viewership. More than a 1 year gap is seen to largely cause a significant loss in viewership. (Source: luminatedata.com/reports/2026...)
