Imala Cavan's dragon companion, Rakasa! Their bond is unusual, as both are independent and headstrong, but a lifetime and telepathic connection has forged a fierce loyalty and understanding. With adventure ahead and their routine life left broken, only time will tell how their connection evolves.

Finalized the design for my new D&D character, Imala Cavan. She is a tabaxi Dragon Rider Knight, a class featured in The Game Master's Book of Legendary Dragons. Her outfit is warm and simple, but she incorporated her companion's shed scales for a pop of color.

Ever woken up with a song in your head? This morning it was Kiss the Girl from The Little Mermaid. I haven't seen that movie in AGES! Why now?! Hahaha

The high winds took our recycle and trash bins, turning them into split open trash piñatas as the garbage truck turned onto our street. Had to sprint around in my jammie pants, frantically scooping up the confetti of cans and trash from the lawn as the garbage truck loomed. I made it, but WOOF.

When I took the dogs out I heard kids playing in the neighborhood. I couldn't see them, but they were clearly having a blast. Then suddenly one of them starts howling. Another joins, then another- soon there's a literal pack of kids, roaming and howling into the night. I was beaming like an idiot

It's a little fucked, but family deaths have changed the way I see cleaning. In the back of my mind as I'm doing chores, a little thought whispers "if you dropped dead right now, how mortified would you be at what you left undone?" Healthy? No. Motivating? Also no. Anxiety inducing? Yessss

I downloaded Dressmaker this weekend... I'm not particularly into fashion, but this cozy game has a death grip on me! It scratches that particular itch that leads me to spend way too long on character customization stages of games.

Wanted to draw Alistair & Ori’thal with one of the biggest inspirations for making them, Lilo & Stitch(animated one, only). I use to rewatch this one SOO much as a kid. x’D But, it was honestly the perfect human and alien friendship turned found family story that I couldn’t adore more! 😭✨

I like to look up meanings for names when creating characters and NPC's, and for a laugh I looked up my parent's... My dad's (who I'm close with) name means "wolf's sheild", and my mom's (who I have a complicated relationship with) means "foreign" or "stranger" I am literally screaming.

Working on the design for an upcoming DnD PC! Imala is a smilodon tabaxi hailing from a snowy mountain town. I'm planning on making her Dex-focused, but I wanted her physique to reflect her sturdy big-cat origins :) Still needs some tweaks, but happy with how it's coming along!

There is D&D this weekend for the first time since June. I DON'T CARE WHAT HAPPENS THIS WEEK, THE PROMISE OF FRIENDS AND FUN WILL SEE ME THROUGH

When the towers were hit, I was in math class. Our teacher got pulled into the hall, and soon we could see all the teachers huddled together, some crying, some angry. My teacher was usually unflappable, but the look of tearful horror on her face when she returned is burned in my memory.

Yesterday was not my day, but maybe today will be. I have nothing to base this optimism on except better sleep and caffeine, but sometimes that's all you need.

My brother wants the whole family to go on a 3-day cabin trip for his birthday this year. Normally, we just have dinner or a game night, but hauling our dogs for a full weekend 3 hours away feels like a big ask. Yet, I feel like a jerk, saying that.
