I'm gonna say it. If you are still defending #Sony now after it was just revealed that all this time, they lied to you. Lied that that each new generation was incapable of playing the older games. You are no Hardcore fan of #PlayStation, because if you were you would be pissed beyond messure.

I'm certain I am not the only one to figure this out, yet I'll still say it anyway. If you are paying your devs based on critic scores, who you often give your games to FOR FREE. What that tells me is you are actively telling your devs to NOT make games for the people who ACTUALLY BUY THEM.

No, I do not accept it, I will never accept it and neither will that vast majority that keeps getting downplayed as a "Loud Minority" What AAA doesn't understand, the next generation doesn't have the same loyalty we did. They have no investment in most of the remakes, remasters and rehashes.

Now with Mixtape, how else can it be described as, other than AAA Corporations trying the buy the indie space? Want another example? Highguard, hailed as an independent made Hero/Raid Shooter only for it to later come out it was backed by fucking TENCENT some of the biggest money around right now.

But of course we got Sony ending physical media, Grand Theft Auto charging $100 for the whole game, Studio after Studio making AAA titles that begin to blur more and more together with their graphics, stories, characters, everything just all becoming more and more of the same and less accessible.

2 of the games I played during #PSBlackout were Blood West and Gloomwood. These 2 games alone have all the trappings critics would be frothing at the mouth over, open world/sprawling levels, in depth mechanics, RPG elements, stealth the works. Yet little to now coverage or praise by any of them.

Or look at Rockstar and Take2 who have sent Thugs to people's houses on multiple occasions. If you are a content creator that is not 100% praising everything they put out, even if you have a massive following you are never invited or in some cases barred from even public showcases.

While Games Journalists are now carrying themselves like the lords and king makers, they get to decide a game's reputation regardless of how it actually performs in the eyes of customers. And if a game they hate becomes popular, you're just wrong, you're part of the problem.
