Now that this stuff is out there, I gotta get the music I’ve been making in the last month ready to release!

Got to go Backpacking in and around Grand Teton National Park this weekend! #outdoors #backpacking

It’s time to put what we’ve learned about isolation into practice. We’re building the reimagined Composable Architecture 'Store' from scratch and exploring the benefits of strictly controlling isolation through every layer of the library. www.pointfree.co/episodes/ep3...

luminframe.com/page?uri=at%... Here’s a demo!! It’s a music visualizer that changes the strength of effects based on the energy, frequency bands and hits in a song. It integrates with @plyr.fm. Shout out to @woody.fm for the sick track.

I'm working on something that I think is really cool. I don't think it will have any functional value, but I think the people who see it will go "huh... that's sick."

shopify.engineering/back-to-native One of the biggest software platforms in the world made an important decision Native apps are a better UX. LLMs makes them feasible. React Native means that platform evolution is always lagging (Liquid Glass) Every #atproto project should do a similar eval.

shopify.engineeringNative is now the future of mobile at Shopify (2026) - ShopifyCoding agents changed what it costs to build mobile apps twice. Here’s why Shopify is moving from React Native back to Swift and Kotlin.

SKIP is better than #react-native, which outputs exactly 0 native mobile apps despite its name. It’s also better than Kotlin Multiplatform. Which ships native on Android, but the iOS app does not use native components. SKIP is the true “write once, run everywhere” for mobile dev.

Is #bluesky or #blacksky going to be the first to bring a native iOS/Android #atproto social experience to scale? The #react-native social-app has served its purpose for a long time. But the #ui gets more and more dated with every iOS and Android release.

Using native UI frameworks means that an app automatically adopts new UI paradigms. The more an app follows the OS guidelines for how to use widgets and APIs, the smoother it adopts. The iPhone Duo just launched. How well is social-app going to handle it? Not as well as if it was built in #swiftUi

I requested the entitlement from Apple, and tested sending critical alert notifications on iOS. This app is intended to be a high priority info surface during emergencies. We got lucky this year, but this festival is at the peak of fire season.

This is the product surface that I’ve been working on all summer instead of doing #atproto things like making lexicons for @openmusicevent.app That’s hopefully coming in the fall 🤞

I have created Atmosynth, an #ATproto #synth patch platform. You can create, fork, and edit synth patches and play them directly in the browser, via computer keyboard or MIDI keyboard. Patches are saved in your PDS. atmosynth.at

A successful first Atmosphere Tickets event!

Joe Basser@joebasser.com

Had such a fantastic day at the @atproto.nyc community day this past weekend! Super proud to say the pilot @atmosphere.tickets event went smoothly. > 120 tickets sold > $2800 raised through @atmosphere.money Thank you so much to my fellow organizers and everyone that purchased tickets!

plyr.fm/track/1225 Made this instead of going to bed on time last night. All sound is from the OG file pack on @plyr.fm, no additional samples or synths. Gonna do another one later and let myself use some breaks. This was a fun challenge, but the drums were hard to get right #atrproto #music

I’m only averaging 1 post a month but I am still going. I just added pt 5 of me still trying to learn server side Swift using Vapor. This one is all about adding tags, collections, pagination, and filters! #vapor #swift swiftsips.dev/blog/2026/20...

I also want to mention that I am looking for paid work, contract or full time. Ideally in the #atproto space. Are you considering building native mobile apps for your ATProto platform? React native keeping Liquid Glass forever out of reach?

Hey! The Wicked Woods app is available on the app/play store! This is the main white label version of @openmusicevent.app Which will be a #atproto platform for concerts and festivals apps.apple.com/us/app/wicke... play.google.com/store/search...

I’ve spent my professional career building enterprise #ios #swift apps from scratch. I’m one of the early adopters of tools that make it possible to run those same codebases on #android. Wicked Woods is built on an #atproto sdk that I’ve been shaping, making new apps straightforward product work.

The wicked woods app is the quality level and polish that I can deliver on my own, with minimal resources and support. But I love working on a team where we can back each other up and knowledge share! My dms are open, I’d love to chat with any and all #atproto projects thinking about native mobile

play.google.comwicked woods - Android Apps on Google PlayEnjoy millions of the latest Android apps, games, music, movies, TV, books, magazines & more. Anytime, anywhere, across your devices.

Social features weren’t my main priority, so while I do use some #atproto stuff is mostly invisible, but now the UI is solidified for the first release, I’m gonna be atprotizing hard.

I'm beginning to think of agentic coding's niche as "3D printing, but for software" In other words, it helps when you need some functionality that's not easily available off the shelf and you don't care if it's scuff. However, it's less well-suited to industrial-grade automation
